This is a fun 1956 Ford 6 passenger Country Sedan station wagon. These wagons have a very stylish look and were developed in the during the midst of the mid-1950's American auto makeover. The original catalog touts this car as having the ability to change from a "dutiful hauler to dressed-up caller in seconds". Before the SUV the station wagon was the ultimate utility vehicle for capable of making trips around town and hauling all your gear to the lake. This one is no different. The car is in good running shape and was used as a daily driver for the past few years with no real issues. The car has a 292 V8 with a 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. To the best of our knowledge the engine and transmission are original to the car. The car has newer tires, suspension, springs, shocks, intake manifold, carb (old carb and top part of manifold are included), starter, generator, and a modern oil filter. The car comes with the receipts of these updated parts. The car starts right up and runs smooth. The interior is in good shape, not perfect, but very good. The interior appears to be the optional "Western Brown" with all of the fun symbols. The front bench is in great shape, the back has some light cracking on the upright. The dash is clean, the odometer reads 14k, all gauges and clock work, radio doesn't work. The back area is clean, it appears to originally had some covering over the wheel humps. In the pictures the windshield has a crack, it has already been replaced with a new piece of glass. The passenger roll down window and the back passenger side small window both have cracks, otherwise all glass is clean. There are a few spots of rust on the bottom of the doors and tailgate, mostly rust free. This would be a great car to throw your surfboards in the back and head on down to the beach!
