1966 Mustang Coupe project car. This 66' coupe was born in San Jose, CA, with a scheduled build date of 21 April. The DSO was Los Angeles. Original exterior was Emberglo Metallic (can still see some color in the photos) with Parchment/Emberglo Vinyl interior. This 66' coupe has a numbers correct (believed to be original motor) 289 2 barrel, with the "Dual Range" C-4 automatic transmission. Both motor and tranny look to have a recent rebuild (before my acquisition of the Coupe. The motor is a Cali emission car, so it is equipped with the smog heads and smog pump. The rear axle has been stripped, steam cleaned, and reassembled with all new gaskets and painted in black enamel. I have a letter from Ford Motor Co breaking down the door tag and VIN code. The radiator support, passenger quarter panel, tail light panel (OE Tooling), and trunk cross member have been replaced with parts from Mustangs Unlimited (receipts available) All interior is available, including original console, both front seat frames (has been stripped of upholstery), rear seat frames (has been stripped of upholstery), gauge pod, heater box, window regulators (all 4) and more. All glass, with exception of windshield is with car. Car is ready for to prep for bodywork, I had plans to get it media blasted, just haven't gotten around to it.
