Vehicle Detail
1969 International SCOUT 800A V8 Here is one nice old International Scout. I’ve owned about 5 of these over the years and this is by far the nicest one. I believe this is the first year International offered a factory V8 engine, and this truck is an original V8. I think its a 304 or 345. The truck is ready to play. It’s an older restoration but still really looks nice. The body is very straight and free of rust! The floors were nicely replaced with diamond plate and they look good. The paint is still pretty nice and shows well. The hood could use a repaint it shows some paint wear from sun. The truck runs very strong. The engine has NO knocks or taps and starts quickly. It puffs some smoke at start up, then disappears. The clutch is good and transmission shifts very smoothly. It’s the original three speed. The Scout has nice after market wheels and tires and the brakes stop the truck good. Inside and Scout is clean and the bucket seats are very nice. It has a small bench seat in the rear. The original dash is uncut. All the lights work including the back up lights. All the gauges work except the fuel and speedometer. The truck comes with a fuel sending unit, Scout Shop Manual and some extra parts. All the glass is good but the windshield has some small cracks in the corner. But...it’s just flat glass and an easy fix. There’s also a front mounted tow bar. You could drive down and pull her home. Or....fly in and drive her home. This is a VERY nice old Scout. Please call 808-205-8414 with your questions before bidding. The truck is in San Antonio Texas.
