Vehicle Detail

Hello, This auction is for a 1979 International Harvester Scout II. I'm an active duty Marine who is about to deploy and I realized its going to be a pain to insure and maintain an antique car with my carear moving me around all the time so its time to part with my beloved scout. I've had the engine rebuilt by jasper motors and the new engine (345 V8) has only about 3,000 miles on it. My scout has new paint, new BF goodrich all terrain tires, a new holy 4-barrell carburator, new brakes, and a new sony MP3/I-pod sound system with remote control and new polk speakers. I have documentation to go along with all of these upgrades. Car has the original Scout automatic transmission and it has been upgraded with Rancho shocks and a new oil pressure gauge and trailer brake. The car is virtually rust free (its 30 years old) and is in generally great condition for its age. The top comes off and the vehicle can become a convertable in the summertime. If you were to add a roll bar and a bikini top you'd be all set. That was the next upgrade I was going to do. The bad stuff....there is a small rip in the upholstrey of the drivers side seat that I never got around to fixing. Fuel and speed gauges are sort of innacturate. Other than that the interior and exterior of the vehicle are in great shape. Feel free to give me a call if you're local (i live on north topsail beach NC) and would like to schedule a test drive. 310-383-0433. My name is Greg. Also, I am willing to deliver this vehicle to most locations on the east coast or southeast for the cost of gas for the trip (gas for the scout one way, and gas for the other car both ways). I like road trips so its no problem for me. Thanks for looking and feel free to E-mail me with any questions.
