With a simple restoration this car could be the highlight of any car show. This solid, one owner Monte Carlo was purchased new in late 1977 by my mother. It is licensed, insured, streetworthy and driveable today. It is all original & never wrecked. She has kept it as a second car for years. The original paint was the light blue metalic that unfortunately oxidized very easily. Subsequently, the car has been repainted twice. The first time was with the original style paint, and it required repainting a few years later. The second time a nonmetalic was used, and it has been much more durable. The vinyl Landau top was removed at the time of the second paint job. I drove this car in high school and college and admit to having a sentimental attachment, but it's time to find it a good home where someone has time to bring it back to its' potential. It has less than 110,000 miles, the original 305 V8 engine and automatic transmission. The interior is showing age in the upholstery, the dash and the windshield has a stress fracture line 3/4 of the way across. The headliner has been replaced once, but is sagging again. The car is thirty three years old and has some flaws, but is in remarkably good condition. There are some areas with surface rust around the rear windows and the bottoms of the quarter panels. I anticipate this car to sell quickly, so don't pass up the opportunity. You may see it again at an auto show this summer.
