For sale. 1978 Porsche 911. Original and unrestored. Build date was 9-1977 but the title is 1978. This is one of the finest original and unrestored 911`s you are ever likely to find. It`s a two owner car. I bought it from the original owner about 5 years ago. It`s in exceptional condition and is painted in a unique color. The Color is Talbot Yellow code B7B7 and is all original except for the front bumper which was resprayed many years ago due to small rock chips. The paint is in excelent condition and shines like new. The body is free from any dents,dings or scratches as the car has always been garaged since new. This car comes with a certificate of authenticity from Porsche stating it`s engine and transmission numbers (matching) And a long list of optional equipment that this car was ordered with. The car`s original owner had owned Porsche cars before and ordered this one with many special features. First the color. Talbot Yellow was a Porsche special order color. Very rare color with a nice tone that looks great on body. Seats. The car was ordered with the Recaro sports seats that came standard on the 1977 930 Turbos. These IMO are the best seats Porsche ever used. The support is amazing. The seats are leather and the interior color is called "Cork". It`s a darker saddle tan type color and looks great next to the yellow exterior. Additional special order equipment are the wheels. These are 16 x 7 front and 16 x 9 rear Fuchs. All four are in pefect contition with no curb rubs or scratches. All four wheels are shod with new Continental Contact 2 tires with less than 1K miles on them. Additional equipment ordered are. Electrically adjustable / heated outside mirrors. High pressure headlight washers. Power antenna. Center console. Leather sport steering wheel. (same as the 930) Sport seats. Rear seat belts. Cruise control (And it works) Power windows. Power sunroof. Rear spoiler. Front spoiler. Sport shocks. Amber fog lights. Stereo system with 2 speakers on the back shelf. (Original stereo was replaced with a radio/CD player but the original speaker locations were used. No extra holes have been made. Very clean installation. Engine: The car has 156,834 miles. The enine`s top end was rebuilt at 126,000. This included the heads, valves, rockers, pistons, cylinders, fuel injection system, oil lines and system, clutch, flywheel resurfaced chain tensioner update. All of the build details are listed in the collection of work receipts and there are photos of the engine while it was out of the car. All this work was done while the car was under the care of the original owner. The car has always been maintained at a very high level with all work being performed by Porsche trained technicions. I have continued in this tradition in the 5 years that I have owned the car. The only work I have had to have done to the car is the following; Valve adjustment. Oil and transmission fluid changed (Oil about 4K miles ago). (Transmission less than 1K miles ago with swepco synthetic.) New struts front and rear. New turbo tierod ends. 4 wheel allingment and corner balance. New turn signal/highbeam flasher stalk. New brake pads (Front). i don`t know what more to say about the car other than it`s the finest 911 I have ever owned and I regret to sell it. However I have other priorities with a new business and not much time for the car anymore. So I would like to see it go to a good home. Serious buyers are welcome to see the car if you are local. Also you are welcome to have a PPI completed. I know it`s cliche` but I would have absolutly no reservations about getting in this car and driving across the country. Payment is expected within 1 week. I can help with transport however it is the buyer`s responsibility to make arrangements and pay for pick up. Payments for the car can be made through Paypal, Bank check (has to clear my bank). Bank wire transfer. The California title is clear and the car has current registration.
