This is my 1980 Z28 Camaro finished in it's orig Bright Yellow Paint ( Code 51 ) and is one of 3,174 ( 2.3% ) made this year in yellow for all camaro production .If you want an orig unmodified clean orig paint car this might be for you . Solid orig body and orig floors and frame rails , trunk , orig spare tire , etc. It is the last year produced 350 with 4 speed avail as 1981 brought only automatic with the 350 and the 305 was avail for the 4 speed . It still retains it's orig paint and decals and all standard Z28 body applications as to front and rear spoilers , air induction hood ( still functioning ) , factory wheels , etc. Options include factory air conditioning , power steering , front power disc brakes , tilt steering , custom interior , roof drip moldings , all standard Z28 applications . The paint is 30+ yrs old and is orig with expected wear showing but overall it is a great appearence for a driver . The engine is all orig and unmodified and never has been opened or removed , still has orig air induction cleaner , stock exhaust , orig carb , and smog equipment . Never detailed or painted just orig 30 + yr old 350 that runs very well . The transmission is orig and shifts through all gears very well , orig clutch still in car and has the orig safety switch and lock out reverse still functioning as it did when new . The rear is the orig with limited slip diff and I do not know what the gear ratio is . It drives flawlessly and tight with no rattles , just drives as well as any new car I have driven therfore that is it's strongest point . The interior is orig and finished in black , it is the factory custom interior with cloth and vinyl with stripe . The seats are in exceptional shape for a 30yr old car , carpet is orig , nothing is dyed and flakeing , rear interior panels as new as well as rear seat . I did at one time replace the headliner . The dash has no damage or wear or crackes . Prior to my 1993 purchase orig owner installed a radio , circa 80's shaft style ( no dash holes cut ) am-fm cass that still works , the door panels do have aftermarket speakers but thats the only modification to panels . Never bothered to change it, just accepted it for what it is . The car has a factory windsheild antenna so no body holes ever for that . The blower motor works on all settings for both the heat and factory airconditioning , the ducts all function as desired settings are selected as well . All the lights inside , dash , outside all work , all turn signals , horn , wiper , flashers , etc all work . The speedometer stoped working back in 1995 @ 25k and I put 1k/yr if that so mileage is around 40k mark . I replaced the orig tires back in the late 90's with tires shown and although they never leaked and tread is very good they are dryrotted and would need replacement for the future . The fuel gage , temp , amp , tach , idiot lights all work fine . This car has a crack in the front drivers side corner of the bumper , and the rear portion of the roof needs attention to paint as slight paint damage from a garage scar from something falling on it back in 1983 ( est from local repair shop was $700.00 ) .Orig cowl plate also supports info such as orig Z28 , color , date of production ( 04D ;April 4th week ) , Van Nuys production ( N ) , L for laq paint ) A51 for black interior , etc .
