If you would like to own a Willys without the expence and modified insurance rates of the real deal then this is the one for you! This is a 1941 Willys gasser pick-up clone . It is a fiberglass rebody kit on a 1989 Ford Ranger pick-up. It was built with the best about 2 years ago! The truck sports a 1977 302 Ford engine with a Lunati 292 cam,600 Holey, Alum intake,and the usual Chrome treatments.The Ignition is a Mallory Unilite Distrubitor with a MSD 6AL Box and Taylor Wires. The radiator is a 3 row (new) Mustang unit which cools perfectly. The exhaust is Fenderwell Headers with 2 pair of 1 bolt collectors. 1 pair with mufflers inside, the other with 5" diam. open for the strip or cruise night. The Trans is a C-4 with a shift kit and a deep pan. This truck starts and runs great and is currently licensed and insured. The Ranger used was sold locally and purchased by a close friend and a very nice show truck since it was 2 yrs. old, then pro streeted professionaly 15 yrs. ago and the V-8 was added 10 yrs. ago and this really adds to the cool of the Willy's kit. The power is put down with Ranger frame, rear 1/2 with 2x3" square tube. Rearend is a narrowed 9" Ford with Mosier Axles and 4.22 Richmond Ring & Pinion on a limit slip diff. coupled with 50" ladder bars and modified comp. eng. wheelie casters. Wheels are steel 15 x 14" rings with Ford centers. Slicks are 33 x 14" Mickey Thompsons with 1/2 tread left. Rear brakes are 11 x 2.5" Big Galaxie units. Up Front: The original twin I beam has been replaced with a Speedway 48 x 4" drop straight axle kit with 6 leaf springs, Chevy spindles, Mustang disc brakes with chrome tie rod, drag link, steering arms. It rolls on 14 x 6" Mag Face Early Ansens with 185/70 x 14" Good Rides. This body kit is marketed by Midwest Muscle Cars of Nebraska. The 1 pc. front end is street weight glass that fits & tilts great! It also carrys a very rare polished Cal Custom Hood Scoop. Doors are very thick and close solid.It has safety glass front and rear windows with purple tinted plexi- glass snap in side windows. The cab is a hidden 9" longer than stock for extra needed foot room. The bed is 18 guage steel with trailer fenders and houses a 12 gallon Moon Gastank ,Battery and a completely fake chute, but its cool! The taillights are 39 Ford with devil head lenses. Truck is painted with 5 coats of Lavender Dupont base/clear. The Interior is simple and clean. Starting with a 14" purple metalic, removeable steering wheel with horn and Hurst Line Lok Buttons in the spokes. Shifter is a B&M Z gate over new black carpet. Guages are all Autometer Sport Comps, Tach is 5" with a shift light. All wiring & fuse box is a Painless 8 circut unit. Turn signals are wired into a special switch down by the shifter. Jaz Racing Seats have purple covers and color has been matched to all door panels, tonneau cover and both 5 point seat belts as well as used for the trim color on the outside of the truck. All padded panels are done in 2" diamonds. This Willys also comes with a 1 3/4" 3-point roll bar, purple pads, purple window net, and these have never been installed.
