Hi up for bids is my uncles 2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 AMG package Kompressor supercharged inline-4 2.3 liter engine with automatic transmission. This sportster is so beautiful, I wish I had the money to buy it off of him, such a classy car you will always make heads turn. This car is a rebuilt title but!! look at the photos of the damages prior to repair it was so minimal that the air bag are intact on both sides. So don't let the rebuilt title scare you this car drives like a dream, and the transmission shifts perfect, but sometimes for no reason you turn the key, and nothing, its like if there was no power going to the starter. My uncle has checked everything he can't find what it is, my guess its some bad relay somewhere that doesn't work sometimes. Now most of the car has factory paint except for the front hood, fenders, and bumper. The hood had a little wrinkle on the edge due to the accident and was repair. The bodyshop that repaired the damage matched up the color real well cause it was blended in with the factory paint so the passenger half side of the hood is factory paint, and so is the passenger fender that i can tell. Now the paint job, was mediocre, the paint is a little thick in some spots and there is a little bit of paint running on the fender. I believe because the paint is so thick, a professional buffer will smoothen the paint right up and make it look like factory. The sportster is ten years old so expect normal wear, on the very top of the front windshield frame where the roof meets the frame, the clear coat is chipping on the passenger side, this cars are known for that as well. These SLK's suffer from interior paint chips so you could see in the photos that there is a couple of paint chips inside but nothing to noticeable. The leather has its normal wear, the driver side has a penny size tear right in the middle of the back rest, but no other noticeable tears on the leather. All the power options work well except for the radio, for some reason it has no volume, this cars are known for that to, it turns on and works perfectly except you can't hear anything. The A/C compressor turns on but the blower is not blowing could be a fuse or something minor. The top goes up and down nicely, the front part of the roof(the one that meets the windshield) carries one of the hydraulic cylinders which shows signs that the fluid is leaking, and has saturated the roof headliner with oil, and the oil has wrinkled the headliners leather. The tires are okay I would say about 50-40% life left all the way around. That's pretty much it as far as stuff that need attention goes. Please see the pictures, this is a very presentable car, and I am in love with it, wish my uncle could hold off on it so that I can buy it when I run into some money, but he needs the money now. Please ask all question before bidding, please if you are a picky, anal person this car is not for you, and if you are really interested come and see it in person before you bid. If you are not anal and understand this is a ten year old rebuilt car that doesn't have the detail of a car that has been kept in prestine conditions and has never been involved in a accident then bid away. So he has not been able to rule out the starter. Like I said he is pretty sure its the starter, but sense the new starter is not working we are not sure if its the only problem with the car not wanting to start every once and a while. So we are short on time, so if he has not been able to get the starter replace on time the car will be available as-is or the winner can wait until he gets it fixed, but there may still be a chance that its not the starter, and it could be something else we won't know until we rule the starter out.
