Bestcarsofdfw is proud to present... 1977 Corvette L-82 VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAY FEATURES INCLUDE 350 c.i. 4bbl. L82 4-Speed Close Ratio Muncie Transmission 3.70 Posi-Traction Rear End Corvette Orange Exterior Black Deluxe Interior Air Conditioning Power 4-Wheel Disc Brakes - Rebuilt front to back Power Steering AM/FM Cassette / AM Delco Included 15-inch Alloy Wheels / new B.F. Goodrich Radial T/As Body Color T-Top Roof Panels Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Rob at 214-364-5671 personally with any questions. This car is kept garaged at his home in Terrell, Texas and available to be inspected by appointment. This car was acquired from the previous owner of 20 years here in Texas. It was driven for about 10 years as a weekend cruiser. The car was parked and garaged for approximately 10 years. The car was purchased, tuned up, fluids, lines, filters replaced and checked, all brake calipers replaced, rubber brake lines, and master cylinder replaced. New weatherstripping installed, new outer door swipes, new door sill plates, new tail lights, and a professional repaint of the Original Corvette Orange in basecoat / clearcoat. New B.F. Goodrich Radial T/As were also just installed on these optional polished Alloy wheels. Under the hood its the original 350 c.i. L-82 V8. This optional engine was rated at 210 horsepower and featured a robust 9.0:1 compression ratio along with a performance oriented cam. This factory engine features induction by Edelbrock, courtesy of an aluminum Performer intake and 4bbl. carburetor and runs way better than the old factory advertised ratings. Exhaust gases are expelled through the factory dual exhaust system. The partial VIN stamping matches this car and the engine suffix code displayed confirms this Corvette to have always been backed by the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Close inspection of this engine will confirm it to be the original block and cylinder heads. An interesting fact is latter L-82 engine compartment were finished in blue, earlier engines have been known to be finished in orange. 1977 would be the last year of this rear window design. This classic stance is thanks to the factory Aluminum Alloy wheels wrapped in new B.F. Goodrich rubber sized at 255/60/15 on all four corners. The brakes feature recent caliper replacement and the master cylinder has also been replaced. The factory interior shows well. The seatcovers, dash, door panels, and console are in good condition throughout. The 4-speed manual close-ratio Muncie was only optioned when you ordered the L-82 engine. Only about 4% of L82 Corvettes received this transmission in 1977. This close ration transmission works excellent with the factory 3.70 posi-trac rear end. The t-tops are easily removed and in good condition. The T-Top weatherstrip has just been replaced. The original t-top interior inserts are included, but warped. The factory interior is in very good condition. The dash is clean and free or cracks or distortion. Also the console is intact and in good shape. The speedometer is working. The tachometer works too, but is not very accurate. The headlights open and close. The tail lights were replaced during the recent re-paint with these beautiful pieces. All of the lights and signals are working. This is your opportunity to own a classic '77 Corvette T-Top Coupe with the rare L-82 engine and even harder to find 4-Speed Close-Ratio Muncie transmission. Only 2,060 of Corvettes were ordered with this transmission is 1977, and it was only available with the optional L-82 engine. 49,213 Corvettes were produced in total this year. Further inspection of the engine will confirm a strong running example with good compression. The clutch grips good and the transmission shifts through the gears as it should. This is a great driver. The undercarriage showcases the original frame and floorboards throughout. Everything looks solid. This is a Texas car that has always been in dry climate conditions. You can see where the front lower valence has been cracked in the past and no one got around to replacing it. The black lower front spoiler is new. This is a great driver ready to enjoy.
