Vehicle Detail
This street rod has it all. The roof has been chopped three inches to give the car a serious look. Rear fenders have been trimmed and welded to the body. The front fender seams have been welded. The deck lid is been modified and rounded at the corners. The back glass is still the same size as the original so that visibility remains great. The rear license plate flips down then closes to keep the car looking lean and mean while at the car show. All of the moldings have been shaved along with the door handles. The doors are sucide opening. The tail lights have been 'Frenched" in keeping with the serious look. Inside the car you will find four bucket seats with room for the grandkids in back, console, am/fm/cd/mp3 player, Vintage Air/heat, Flaming River tilt column, leather wrapped steering wheel, Cruise control, Auto Meter gauges. Interior is trimmed in gray. Under the hood is a GM SB crate motor/turbo automatic, Edelbrock intake/carb, lots of chrome on engine, dual exhaust, aluminum radiator, electric engine cooling fan, power brakes, windshield washer, power steering, Mustang II front suspension with disc brakes and coil springs. Under the rear is a Ford 8.8 with disc brakes, coil over shocks, and electric fuel pump. In back the trunk is carpeted and the battery is mounted behind a forward compartment inside the trunk. On the trunk floor is another compartment that when opened exposes the fuel door for gassing up the car. NO, you cannot smell gas fumes. This compartment is fully vented to the outside for safety. On the shiny side is HOK base coat/clear coat finish in deep purple. Looks black in certain lights. Equipped with American Raciing wheels and BF Goodrich tires. This car was professionally built and rides great, handles wonderfully. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. I wouldn't, because I don't like risking the high price paint job, but I could. Since this car has no outside door handles three redundant methods of opening the car have been added to insure you can get into this car no matter what. I will show you all of these methods before you leave with the car. Three years ago this was a $50,000.00 car. With the ecomony in the tank this is your chance to own a high caliber street rod for less than half that price. Don't pass this car up. I won't list it again anytime soon. The car will go into storage and the next time I'll price it higher. Ask me any questions you want. This is one nice car.
