1970 Mustang bought in the spring of 1997 for $4,500 up in New York where I was going to school. Replaced most of the body with new shaped steel in 1997 up in Carlisle PA except for floor panels, only rust spots I know of are on the floor panels, there is also a small dent in the driver's side door which can be pretty easily fixed and probably pushed out by hand. Had engine replaced summer 1998. 351 Windsor, Top loader 4 speed installed in 2000, heater core installed in 2000 as well, tires replaced in the last year, new battery just put in, had the clutch adjusted this year. Original interior. No A/C or radio currently in it. Installed my own fuel and temp gauges above the dash. Runs great, great engine, hate to sell it, just don't have time to put into finishing it up. As far as mileage the indicator isn’t working but the car shows over 200,000 miles on it. I can only estimate but since I replaced the engine in 1997 I’ve probably put a max of 30,000 miles on the car. I rarely drive it any more but after I came home from a deployment (having sold my other vehicle before deploying) I drove it as my primary mode of transportation for about 8 months. The rest of the time it basically sits in my drive and I start it once or twice a month and take it for a drive a couple times in the summer. Now for all the legal stuff. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 2001 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before making an offer. Please arrange financing prior to making an offer.
