Manx style Dune Buggy This is a nice Manx reproduction down to the badge area on the smooth hood and the battery/ tire wells under the rear seat. The body is in great condition with no major cracking or damage. Paint is not perfect but great for a driver and shines up nicely. Front seats have some fading but no rips or tears and the back seat is excellent. Built with safety in mind it has a full six point roll cage and racing style seat harnesses front and back (see pics). It comes with a snug fitting full length bimini top that stays tight at highway speeds. The engine is an 1835 Dual port with weber carburetor and high performance intake. The rear axle is a swing arm set up. The transmission and clutch work great and the drum brakes are fine. The buggy runs great and is geared for highway speeds and will cruise at 60 mph all day. The pan has had the floor area behind the passenger's seat repaired but is otherwise solid with no rust through. This vehicle is registered for use on the street in Arizona but you will need to check your local requirements for compliance. It has headlights, tail lights, marker lights and horn. The windshield is good with no cracks. It has has a full width rear view mirror. The only things it might need, depending on the requirements for your area, are turn signals and windshield wipers, both of which can be easily installed. The buggy is actually titled as a 1998, had to put 1980 so that the Ebay listing would allow for the Arizona VIN number that is less that 17 digits.
