1967 Jaguar Series 1 E-Type Matching Numbers1966 Jaguar Series I, 4.2 liter convertible, serial number 1E11243, (last series I to have glass headlight covers) , factory chrome wire wheels.tire, close ratio gearbox, triple S.U. carburetors, fully independent suspension, Odometer reads 67,651. Body sanded and primed for cosmetic restoration and rust free, All rust cut out repaired with new body panels cut back to the seams and MIG welded, all body repairs done by myself and certified technicians. The car was purchased by me in 1978 with plans of restoring it to show/driver condition. Car complete except for windshield and starter, I can answer any questions about existing parts inventory. After purchasing car I rebuilt motor with all high performance parts, iskanderion valves and pistons engine bored 30 over ported, polished and balanced, $10,000 invested in motor in 1978. new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing. rebuilt carbs, brake hydraulics and ball suspension parts, I saved all old parts also, I drove the car car for 1 year it was scary fast, quick and agile.. I started the ground up restoration in 79 then got married and had kids ( it ended up sitting for ten years) started restoring it again in 1990 from ground up, Ive invested about 500 hours and $40,000 dollars in the car no expense has been sparred in whats been done, as I never planned hon selling her. My sacrifice is going to be someones great gain. New parts include all the body gaskets, One gallon of opalescent grey pain (original color). I also have a brand new dayton OE wire wheel with brand new OE dunlop tire. Al that needs to be done is blocked out , painted new windshield, starter, re chrome parts, new top new interior, and put back together for a very nice driver/show car.
