Hello, Up for sale is a 1998 Ford Contour SVT with 148K miles. The car has some rust, mostly on the driver's side. See attached pictures. The rust spot on driver's side is the area where side skirts used to sit and is in no way affecting the floor of the vehicle. It is the additional metal that was support for side skirts. There are cosmetic imperfections but sync with the age. Interior is in excellent shape. There are no tears in leather, no cracks in dash, nothing. Everything works. Locks, windows, cruise, etc. THERE IS ONE LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON DASH BOARD. This is low coolant light. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the cooling system. Two Ford mechanics looked at it and said the sensor for low coolant shorted out and light is on. Its a pain to fix so I didn't bother. The light itself is irrelevant. One look under the hood and its visible that coolant level is up to the normal. It doesn't leak anywhere, the car doesn't overheat or doesn't produce heat. Its all good - just the little sensor for the light is dead and light sometimes goes out but most of the time its illuminated. The engine is in excellent condition. There is no smoking, burning, no leaks, nothing. Transmission is excellent. It is 5-speed manual. Car is lowered 2 inches (this was done by certified mechanic shop) and has crossed driller rotors. Also, the car has original K&N Air Intake System. This is original intake by K&N. Front tires were replaced in September, brand new Goodyears. Rear tires have more then 75% threat left. Car is very fast and very fun to drive. The car has Panasonic mosfot premium CD player. It is capable of playing WMA, MP3, etc. Also has AUX port. CD player alone I paid $350. Panasonic CD player also comes with a remote that works great. SVT Contours are very rare and sell for a lot more then what I'm asking for but given the rust and age, I am reasonable person. Title is IN MY NAME AND MY ADDRESS. I will show you my driver's license. I am not one of the 99.9% people here selling someone Else's car and lying about everything they say. I will meet you at MY home with COLD engine. I will not run it for 15 min before you arrive. I will not give you stories. I will not lie about anything. This is a great first car or second car or just car to get your "ya-yas" out when you feel like it because the car is very fast and handles like dream. Not in the pictures are original SVT floor mats that will be included in the sale. The car is very reliable, I have driven it many many miles without any problems. Engine works like a dream, it idles perfect and there is no lost horsepower. I always use premium fuel and full synthetic oil. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Also in the auction I will include MOMO shift knob and tools to remove and install. This will come on top of the leather shift knob on the pictures. PLEASE READ!!! Car is located in Lindenhurst, IL 60046. You must come and pick up the car or arrange for pick up or delivery. I cannot meet or assist with car delivery. Deposit of $200 will be due within 24 hours of auction closing. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied toward the final price. There are no "doc fees" like some people charge on eBay. Some I've seen $125. What a ripoff. Car must be picked up within 7 days of auction closing. If the car is not picked up by then, the car goes back on sale and you forfeit the deposit. Thank you
