Vehicle Detail
1954 Power wagon. It needs work. I did yard drive it a few years ago, and all the gears, trans etc worked. It had a stuck vavle when I did run it. Recently I tried to start it and it almost caught a few times, but it popped through the carb. I did crank over and have spark etc. I was using an external gas can. It will obviously need a full resto. I don't have a title for it. The brakes are not working, doesn't come with a battery. Please email and ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. If you are local let's work out a time that you can come and see the truck prior to purchase. thanks Serial Number 83939627 Year 1954 Make Dodge Model C1-PW6-126 Engine 230 Flathead Six Wheelbase 126 Rating 1 Ton Engineering Code T137 Plant Detroit, Michigan Build Number 1627On Dec-15-10 at 18:09:05 PST, seller added the following information: I have added a few more pictures on the below photobucket link. I encourage any local intereseted parties to contact me to take a look at the truck. I did a quick look at the frame (23 degrees outside) and there was surface rust, but I didn't see any holes rotted through. The dual windshields have cracks in the corners and are seperating. The cab corners etc are not great. The floors don't really exist, you can see the clutch and brake mechanism when sitting in the drivers seat. The front fenders were made by the previous owner, not original. I did hook my backhoe to it to make sure it will roll up on your trailer. I didn't want to move at first, just the front wheels. I looked in the cab to be sure it wasn't in gear. The emergency brake was on, and it actually released!! Once I did that it did roll easily, and I moved it about 10 feet and took these additional pics on photobucket. It even rolled back a foot when the tension was off it. I did take out some of the junk in the back of the bed. The parts that were in some of the pictures didn't fit this truck. But what is cool is the run flat tire inserts which could be mounted inside the rims. The tires have small weather cracks, but are really not bad. The spare is no good, but is an excellent rim. http://s1130.photobucket.com/albums/m528/vmij1970/On Dec-17-10 at 03:43:35 PST, seller added the following information: NO RESERVE AUCTION. HIGHEST BIDDER OWNS THE TRUCK :)On Dec-19-10 at 14:53:37 PST, seller added the following information:I spoke with a local person who was interested in the Power Wagon. He told me that the weak spot on the frame is usually near the back crossmember. I did look very closely at this powerwagon and it does have some frame rot on the bottom rail on the drivers side. I also did check the rear PTO that is in the back bumper. It does not have the driveshafts etc for that PTO, just the part that is mounted in the bumper. I wanted to add this information as I have encouraged all bidders when possible to come and check it out personally. I doing my best to be honest and upfront with who ever wins the power wagon. There is some rust, but it can be reparied. thanks
