Vehicle Detail
1965 Ford Mustang Fastback There is zero rust in this car!!! Please ask me any questions you may have. Please do not ask me what the reserve price is, I will not disclose it. But it is lower than the last auction. But it is set at a fair amount based on what other cars like this one have sold for in other auctions that are in not as good condition as this one. If the car does not sell this time, I probably will go ahead restore it. So this may be your only chance at owning it. The Buy it Now Price will get you some extras that will not come with the car unless bought additionally. Good luck with your bidding!!!! The car can be seen by anyone interested in buying the car by appointment. The body rotisserie is not included and it is not for sale. I do have a clear title for the car. The car does not have any rust other than a little surface corrosion on the underside that would clean off will a wire brush Please do not get your expectations too high. What you will get is a great, rust free, buildable car. It will take some work to get it ready to put back together, but not as much as a rusted and wrecked car. This car has been completely dismantled with the exception of the steering and suspension. It is a rolling chassis only at the moment. I have most of the parts that came with the car. History: The car was originally a 6 cyl 3 speed. It has been changed to a 5 lug V8 suspension front and rear. It was this way when I bought the car. The original color was Vintage Burgandy with standard black interior. The car has been off the road since the mid-1970's...in storage, which explains its rust free condition. The person I got the car from replaced the tail lamp panel and patched the lower left rear quarter panel (not from rust, but had a tear in it from backing over something). The right floor pans were replaced also, not due to rust, but because someone jacked the car by the pan and bent it upward severely. So, what you will get is a car that will need only finishing work on the body to make it ready for paint. These cars are incredibly hard to find without needing rust repair or major bodywork, so here is your chance to have a 1965 Fastback that will be a very easy build compared to other cars. Condition and Parts: The car has been completely taken apart. It is a rolling chassis at the moment. Most of the bodywork has been performed with very little remaining before the car is ready to paint. The rest of the interior will need to be replaced. The front and rear frame rails are perfect as is the floor pans and trunk pans. The only body parts that are missing are the bumpers, front and rear valance panels, and front windshield. I have the original doors, front fenders, hood, and decklid that are in perfect conditon. Most are almost ready for painting also. I also have the front seats and the complete rear foldown seat. The doors and fenders were just set on the car for picture purposes only, they are not bolted on. I will bolt the doors on the car and stack all parts inside the vehicle for shipping. Engine and Transmission: I do not have the original engine or transmission, they are long gone. I do have a 289 2V and a C4 Cruise-O-Matic that came out of a 66 coupe that ran and drove, but was wrecked. The engine ran great, no smoke, no noise, and the transmission shifted good. I will include these with the car if the Buy-It-Now purchase option is used. If not, they will be available to the winner of the auction for an additional $1000.00. Also, if the Buy-It-Now purchase option is used, I will include a NOS Rear Bumper, NOS Rear Valance, and a new gas tank & sending unit. Interior: I have all the seats, front and rear. All the trim panels for the fold down seat are there. The trap door is intact and not cut for speaker holes like a lot are. All are in restorable condition. The dash has not been drilled for an aftermarket radio, I have the original radio for the car...I have not idea if it works. Glass: I have both door glasses and the rear windshield. I do not have a front windshield for the car. Wiring: I have all the wiring for the car. It appears to be intact and useable. Suspension and Steering: Has been converted to a 5 lug front and rear. Missing Parts: The car is missing the front windshield, front and rear valance, and bumpers. The rest of the car is there. The interior will need a total restoration. The Data Tag decodes as follows: 63A - Fastback Standard Interior X - Vintage Burgandy 26- Standard Black interior 28J - September 28th, 1964 build date 3 - 3 speed manual Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will be glad to help get the car to a location locally if needed to be shipped by a transporter. I will deliver the car up to a 200 mile distance from Shreveport, LA for $2.50 per mile loaded. I am requiring a $500.00 non-refundable deposit immediately after auctions end. Full payment is due within 5 days of end of auction or I reserve the right to cancel the transaction and relist the vehicle for sale. If you have feedback of less than 5, please contact me prior to biding or I will cancel your bid. Please, only serious bidders only. Like I said, the car is completely dismantled and ready for finishing bodywork and paint, only the suspension is left on the car. I wish I could finish the car but other obligations have to come first. My loss is could be your gain. I have owned over 50 mustangs over the last 20 years. I know these cars very well and what their values are. What I want for it is a fair price for its condition! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
