This beautiful SS 409 features Silver Blue metallic paint and blue interior, correct to its cowl tag. This example features power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning and a 3 speed automatic transmission. Originally equipped with the base 409 4bbl, this car is now equipped with an upgraded solid-lift high performance 400HP 409. This engine has been rebuilt. The cylinder heads were fitted with hardened valves as well during the rebuild. This is a balanced and blueprinted assembly. V8 rated at 400 horsepower. Underneath the twin duct chromed breather is a 4bbl. carburetor and aluminum performance intake manifold. The engine is clean and detailed, as are the inner fenderwells, core support, and firewall. This car was originally equipped with the base 409 4bbl. This high performance version features solid lifters, additional compression, and a performance cam. It runs excellent. The cylinder heads were also rebuilt and fitted with hardened valves, suited for today's pump gasoline. The original trim identification tag is affixed to the cowl. The interior showcases the factory bucket seating and center console. Super Sport badging is displayed on the factory door panels and center console. The front seat covers have been replaced and the rear seat cover looks to be the perfect original one. The dash is clean and detailed, with its original instruments, including the tachometer. This quality example showcases quality bright work and paint throughout. The SS features signature machine-turned trim and badging both inside and out.
