Here is a nice example of a 1992 BMW R100RT. This is a 1 Liter bike that easily eats up the miles on the road in comfort. It has new tires and has many new parts installed, all documented with receipts. The bike has detachable luggage as seen in the pictures. This bike has had a lot of work done to it in the last couple years to get it in excellent riding shape (approaching $3,000 worth of work). Nearly all the work was done at a BMW dealership. Both tires and the rear rim were replaced since last year. Some other items replaced last summer at BMW Motorcycles of Cleveland: drive shaft boot, oil cooler, ground cable and engine wiring harness, ignition sensor, air filter, tension strap, spark plug/wires. Other items replaced include: primary fuel filter and assembly, rear transmission seal, internal transmission filter w/ gasket, external transmission filter, and serpentine belt. The fairing is aftermarket and the gas tank & side covers have fresh paint jobs. The owner has too many bikes and his current situation dictates that he has to get rid of them. This one hurts him the most, though, because it is such a nice ride and he finally got it into the condition he wanted. The bike pulls strong, twisting the throttle hard will get the front end to lift up! The suspension feels very tight and it just sails down the road, you can hardly tell there is a motorcycle under you. These bikes also handle the corners well. Overall a great joy to ride.
