1969 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible...Original Survivor This 1969 Buick Convertible was recently discovered in a garage in Texas. The car was last registered for the road in 1986. It starts right up and runs well. There is no puffing smoke or engine knocks or taps. The car was offered new with factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes and Power Top. The car is all original, I believe the paint is even original although not perfect. The chrome on the car is in wonderful shape for forty two years and it seems like it’s all there. The body is in wonderful shape with zero signs of body work or filler. This Texas car is very solid. Amazingly for a vintage convertible even the original floor pans are solid. The trunk pan is also in great shape. There are no found holes, just a little scaling. The original spare and jack are back in the trunk. There are no stars or cracks in any of the glass and the windows all roll up and down The interior in all original and really in great shape for the age of the car. Even the dash has not one crack in it. The top is white with a glass rear window. However the top is shot! The entire center section of the top is missing. The past owner said it just rotted away in the garage. The power top works fine coming down, but struggles going up. I bet it needs hydraulic fluid. Under the hood and car seems mostly complete accept the air conditioning compressor is missing. One of the power steering lines has a leak that needs fixing too. All in all this is a wonderful old classic convertible that needs just a few things to be driven. 1) new tires. 2) power steering leak fixed. That’s about all I see. Oh...a new top would be nice. I can hold the vehicle for 15 days at no charge to the winning bidder after the auction (the charge is $15.00 per day after 15 days unless other arrangement made).
