Vehicle Detail

1948 Ford F-100 Up for sale is my 48 ford F-1 originally built by the So-What speed shop. This is a turnkey truck which I like to drive as much as the weather and time will permit. The truck is all steel and has just undergone a complete restoration. We took the cab and bed completely off the frame and re-ran all of the wiring. While the cab and bed were off we also undercoated the frame. We re-chopped the cab for a total 3" inches in the back (without cutting into window) and 3 3/4" the front. There is No section in the roof ( I leaned the a pillars back). The fenders have been raised 2" from factory location and extended 1" at the bottom to keep the running boards from being too close to the cab. The hood has been sectioned 2 inches to make everything flow, hood latch mechanism and springs are in good working order. The interior consists of a freshley upholstered vinyl bench seat from an 88 s-10 done tastfuly in redand black. The dash is stock with a new Sony CD Player with an ipod port and 4 Kicker speakers in the kick panels. The chassis is an 88 s-10 with a trailing arm setup for the rear. The rear is a 10 bolt chevy from an early camaro with 3.73 gears and limited slip. The truck has a full air-ride system with electric valves, 3-gallon tank, and a brand new Viair 480C compressor that allows you you to lay the running boards flat on the ground. most of the mechanicals came from the s-10, steering column, frame, steering, front suspension (2 inch drop spindles), and power hydraulic brakes. Under the hood is a strong running 350 with a Holley street avenger 670, 60's Edlebrock Spider intake, stock heads, "Chevrolet" Valve covers, and s-10 shorty headers. It has a freshly rebuilt TH350 transmission with a summit converter. The truck rolls on red steel 15" wheels with chrome and red spinner bar hubcaps. It has 4 new wide white walls with plenty of tread. Wiring is through an ez-wire 21 circuit colored and labeled wiring harness. The gas tank is from an s-10 blazer with the filler cap in the bed. The radiator is from an el camino and the truck never sees over 190 degrees. It has swan style Mirrors, chrome door handles. I just completed the bed with 1 1/16" ebony stained Oak and stainless steel bid strips from Dennis Carpenter. The custom carpet was installed about 2 weeks ago and done by Hatfields Upholstury it is fully padded classic black loop. The headliner is new from Dennis Carpenter. To top it all off the great Jerry Cambell from Willmington Dellaware laid the stripes at York this year, it has Jerry's art on the hood, dash and tailgate as well as the custom air cleaner. Shes a great truck and a sure show winner! I hate to get rid of her but I have to let her go. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me or call 717-634-4926. Thank you for looking, good luck! $500 deposit due immediately following the auction via paypal. I will deliver depending on distance for a fee per mile. I can also arrange shipment through www.jsmshipping.com to most locations around the globe. The truck has a clear title, valid PA state inspection and is available for you to see at my shop throughout the week 9am to 5pm in New Oxford PA.
