Vehicle Detail
1969 KARMANN GHIA CONVERTIBLE Here is one fantastic looking vintage Karmann Ghia convertible. This car turns heads everywhere it’s driven. I think it’s one of the best looking small convertibles ever made. This car runs very well and is dependable. The engine starts quick and runs strong. The four speed manual transmission shifts through the gears smoothly. The brakes stop the car as they should and the emergency brake sets and holds the car as well. All the lights, wipers, horn etc. work too and the car has a current Texas safety inspection sticker and current registration for almost a year to go. The silver paint looks great and holds a nice shine still. Silver is one of the best looking colors on these cars. However the original paint color seems to have been turquoise, which would also be awesome. The body is nice but not perfect. The driver’s door has a scrape on it. The nose has a small area that is bubbling under the paint. The rear quarter panel has a crack in it. The seats are in pretty good shape with lots of life left in them. The head rest on one shows wear on the back. The CD player is missing the face. The convertible top looks pretty good but isn’t prefect. The driver side of the top frame needs a fix. I think a weld would due. The car is in nice shape for 41 years old and comes with a clear Texas title. Call Hawkeye for questions answered before bidding at 808-205-8414.
