1972 Ford LTD Convertible I have owned this car for more than 10 years. It has been stored indoors for more than 20 years (since 1990). Always a California car, the original mileage is 81,200. I am retiring and giving up my collection. I have had the car serviced, with fuel lines cleaned, new (not rebuilt) radiator, water pump, and tune up. The car is rust free except for a small spot on the rocker panels in front of each rear wheel and some minor surface rust inside the front of the trunk lid. The frame and the lower part of the rest of the chassis appear to be rust free. The original paint is faded and worn. At one time it seems to have had some work done on the passenger side front fender as that has been repainted. There are some small dents and dings, one on the front of the hood, one in front of the driver’s side rear fender. Please look carefully at the photos. If you want to see anything else I’ll try to load more photos. The top is virtually non-existent, but the motor works. The windows are all slow due to non-use and the passenger side window seems to be off the track but the motor seems to work. The original interior is grimy but it looks as though it will clean up ok. It is an air-conditioned car, but that is not working. The engine (351) runs well and the transmission shifts smoothly. The tires have lots of tread but are more than 20 years old. I bought the car as a driver and wish I could keep it since it’s a great cruiser, Keep in mind that it is 40 years old with half of its life being spent in storage. While it runs and drives, I would not put it on the highway until it is thoroughly gone through. The registration is current.
