This is a rare 1951 MG TD MkII (Only 1710 Mark IIs were produced, from 1950 to 1953). This car was recently removed from over 40 years of garaged storage and is now drivable and running great! The car has a clear title and is currently registered and licensed. Work completed in the last few months includes: All gauges working: Tachometer and Water Temp gauges professionally repaired. Rare racing style chronometric speedometer and tach. The clock does not work. 5 new radial tires All new brake wheel cylinders and master cylinder. New front brake shoes. Rear shoes good. All brake hoses new. 2 new fuel pumps. Gas tank professionally cleaned. New fuel sender. All fuel hoses new. Carburetors repaired. Radiator professionally cleaned and tested. New thermostat and housing. New water pump, hoses and branch pipe. Starter professionally cleaned and inspected. New battery. The previous owner said the engine was rebuilt before it went into storage; it doesn't smoke and runs well. I replaced some gaskets and freeze plugs and have not needed to do anything else to the engine. It still needs a new oil filter. This is a great car to restore. The wood is original and in good shape. There is no rust and only a couple of dents. The seats are in good condition (they may have been reupholstered), but the door panels look original (re-dyed black from the original green). They are worn and loose. The convertible top needs to be replaced, but the frame works. It also has the side curtains, but the plastic has yellowed.
