Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my gorgeous eye-catching 1948 Buick Roadmaster sedanette. This vehicle has 64,000 miles and is equipped with the original straight 8 engine and Dynaflow transmission. I purchased this vehicle approximately 2 years ago from a classic car dealership in Florida and have enjoyed cruising and bringing it to car shows where it garnishes much attention and wins trophies. No expense has been spared bringing this vehicle to the fine mechanical condition it is in including the following: 2009 New 6v batteryRebuilt carburetor/new fuel filterTransmission rebuilt/resealedGas tank removed, boiled and coated 2010 Brand new wiring harness throughout entire vehicleReverse lights installed (optional in 1948)AM radio rebuilt (added MP3 player hookup)New brakes/pads/shoes (less than 150 miles on them)Rebuilt master cylinderRebuilt fuel pump All gauges are in working order (except the clock) and all vacuum wipers work including the rare rear windshield wiper option. Tires are in excellent condition. The paint, based on my research, is not the original color. It was originally a single shade of gray. It is in my opinion a very good quality paint job needing just a small amount of touching up. All major chrome pieces such as the bumpers and grille are nearly perfect. Smaller chromed items such as the door handles show some pitting. The interior has no rips or tears with the upholstery looking as though it was redone at some point. The headliner has a small stain seemingly from a previous water leak, but otherwise in good condition. The windshield has some fogging towards the bottom, but nothing that affects driving. There is a small crack on the driver side vent window. All other glass is in good condition. It does have an oil leak which I guess is common in cars of this vintage. Overall, this car is a real head turner. It gets attention and compliments everywhere I bring it. It rides unbelievably well for a car of its age. I don't think you will find another 1948 Roadmaster in this condition for this price. Included in the sale will be all literature, manuals, and brochures that I have collected while owning the vehicle. The birth of my first child forces this sale. Buyer to arrange for transportation of vehicle. I will be as flexible as possible with working with the winning bidder's shipping company. $1,000.00 deposit due within 48 hours of close of auction. Payment in full must be made within 7 days of close of auction. Car will not leave premises until car is paid for in full via cash or bank check. Inspection of the vehicle is welcome and encouraged prior to bidding. ***Additional pictures may be emailed upon request.
