The car is finished in its gorgeous original Mercedes color of Ebony Black and is in awesome condition and looks as good as the day in rolled of the lot. The car is straight as an arrow with only a handful of small chips which have been touched up. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any collector car should be. The car is riding on the original 15" chrome wheels and is riding on like new Dunlop tires that only have about 4k miles on them! The windshield is like new with no chips. The black German Cloth soft top is brand new and was just installed a few weeks ago. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape. The interior is in great shape all around. The dash and door panels are in like new condition. The supple original black leather seats are all in very good condition and look very nice with no rips or ware lines, which shows the quality of leather used in this car. The wood grain is in excellent condition. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice with the upgraded Pioneer CD, but also will include the original Becker Cassette player. Music is crisp and clear and not overwhelming. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should. This interior is in immaculate condition. The trunk compartment is very clean as well. The spare tire compartment is clean as a whistle and the original spare tire is present. Original jack and tool kit are also in place. MECHANICAL: Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is quick and responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily available. The car was always regularly serviced by Mercedes authorized dealers. Under the hood is clean as a whistle and looks like new. I just had the oil changed and the car given a once over and its all ready to hit the road with the top dropped!
