Rare 1987 Honda CR125R No Reserve Tons Of Parts (Even More pictures added on 2-24-10 If you live in Phoenix you can come by and see the unit. Just contact me and I will give you a phone number and directions. Very simple just off the I-10 and Estrella Parkway in Goodyear. We are listing it one more time as the interest is high, but nobody has actually come by to see it. Please make an appointment with me. Lately appointments were made and nobody every shows. Lot's of time wasted. This is our last ebay auction run as it is going to a Phoenix auction on 11-12-10. So this is our last time listing it. We have now lowered the starting price to what most of my callers were asking to buy it for, but never showing up. This is your chance to buy it all with a new low starting bid of $600 and no reserve. Just the tires cost over $300 dollars. Please contact us with any questions, if possible, 24 hours before auction closing. (Please look at my updated pictures on ebay and also my detailed slideshow on my photobucket pictures link) Check out the color changing frame depending on how the sun hits it. http://s1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb478/flakeyguy/1987%20Honda%20CR125R/?albumview=slideshow (Bike is listed for sale locally and auction can end at any time). (I'm glad to answer any questions at all, but we are having lots of activity since we lowered the starting bid price. Please look at all the pictures first. If you have any further questions I am always glad to answer or if additional pictures are needed.) Many of you know this to be a great 2-Stroke bike. Easy to fix and nice to learn on as well as hitting hard when needed. There are many parts available on ebay for this unit, but never a complete bike. I am selling this unit as I have a medical condition so either I store this unit or sell it. (Bright color on engine is not rust, but liquid gasket. Drips below bike is water from being washed. It comes with gaskets anyways for side cover). I pulled out all my spare parts and was able to calculate over $1500 worth if I were to part the bike out including two sets of brand new Michelin and Dunlap tires. These prices are calculated as to what currently is on ebay. History I purchased this bike from a neighbor as I was on disability and needed a project. I tore the bike down to the frame. Painted the frame and rebuilt the transmission. (Frame painted in a triple reflective color. Look at all pictures to see a closeup in the sun). Installed a new muffler and worked on the brakes and chain. Installed a high end gold chain and Star sprocket. New Michelin and Dunlap tires on the bike currently and a second set available. Adjusted the brakes and basically put it all back together. Then I got to the point that my injury didn't allow me to lift anything or ride so I stopped working on it. (There is a leak in the fuel cock which I ordered original gasket for and the water pump gasket also has to be replaced which is also available. My neighbor who is an avid rider tells me since I repainted the frame, I didn't leave a ground for the ignition box bolt that goes through the frame so I was unable to start it. Most likely needs to be roughed up around the bolt.) Looks like I will never get to see my 90% work turn into 100% Please look at my pictures and specifically all the parts. I am $1250-$1450 into the bike and it's almost done. I am asking for the best offer I can get. It may only need a little labor and no more major parts, to the best of my knowledge. Serial number JH2UE0104HC804680. Parts (Too Many To List All) Transmission Parts, Hoses, brake stuff, water pump housing and two caps, original Honda parts like gaskets and seals, oil, desert tank, all the side farings or covers, two new sets of Michelin and Dunlap tires one set being on bike, bike cover, material to renew the seat, muffler, handle bar, number stickers, bearings, original owners manual, kick stand, and many more. (If you purchase this bike and part it out, you can earn more many that it is being sold for. I would do this, but I don't have the time, physically can't with my medical condition, and I need more room in my garage immediately. The space is worth more to me at this point than parting out this bike. Also, because I have put so much time into it and it's almost ready to ride, I would hate to part it out. It's better to sell it to someone to be able to ride it). I would like to sell everything all together to give someone the chance to actually ride it and have spare parts, but if someone just wants the bike without the parts, let me know. Payment If you have any special payment needs or pickup arrangements, we urge you to contact us first before bidding so we can come to an agreement. If you live in the Phoenix area or Arizona, you probably won't have much of an issue with pickup. I will hold the bike with a deposit and if a longer hold is needed, full payment must be made per our arrangements. Shipping I prefer local pickup of this bike, but since it is such a rare unit, someone may buy it and want it shipped. I would suggest checking with www.uship.com for pricing or any other reasonable shipping company you may know of. My zip code is 85338. I am not sure about the weight although an internet search says 197 pounds. I'm not sure this is correct, but the Honda dealer also can't verify this for me. I was told that the weight was never part of the specification and per the original owners manual, they are right. There is nothing that states the weight so I have to go with the best internet answer I can find. I'm sure if you know this bike you know about the weight. I have no way of getting it to a scale, sorry. Bidding Please be a serious bidder. If you bid, then follow through. We have 100% feedback for a reason and hope that we receive the same courtesy we provide to our buyers. Item up for sale locally so item may sell before listing is over. We reserve the right to end the auction. Warranty Obviously being the year that it is, it is sold as is. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions. I will send whatever pictures anyone requests and answer any questions the best I can. On Nov-09-10 at 21:38:35 PST, seller added the following information: I have received lots of questions and offers in the past couple of days. Please submit your best bid on ebay since we now have bidders I had to suspend selling the bike locally. I will let the auction run out and it looks as though it will be sold. I have to be fair to my bidders. We encourage all to keep in tune with the last couple of hours and minutes of the auction as per our traffic and questions, there will most likely be some bidding before this item auction ends. We encourage all to ask any questions you may have before bidding. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. It is a vintage bike worth having.
