1974 Honda XR

For sale is a super clean 1974 Honda XR-75. I purchased this bike like new in 2002 from the previous owner who had just finished a beautiful frame-up restoration. It was cosmetically completed to correctly match the 1973 XR-75. The bike features a powder coated frame and many new XR-75 Honda parts. Tank is very nice inside and out.... as is the seat, the number plates, fenders, handlebars, forks, rims, spokes and hubs. Tires are new. Pipe is excellent with one small dent. All cables were new. Engine was completely rebuilt and is tight and fresh and runs like new. I believe everything on this bike is stock OEM XR-75 Honda (no aftermarket parts with the exception of the tires). Only real blemishes are some scrapes on the engine side covers and center case. See photos of the bike with cosmetic parts and pipe removed for more detail. After purchase, I rode the bike around my block a couple of times to test (it ran great!), after which it was semi-retired to display in my collection. In 2007, we took it out to the AMA Mid-Ohio Vintage Days to use as one of our pit bikes where it was very well appreciated (the sticker from that event is still on the handlebars). The publisher of VMX magazine had us pull the bike out for a photo shoot! Other than my initial test run after purchase, this was the only time the bike has been ridden since the new restoration. The bike runs great and mechanically works excellent with everything functioning as it should. Simply said...THIS IS A REALLY BEAUTIFUL BIKE!! I have also posted a photo here of a really cool set of trick, red 1970's Curnutt aftermarket shocks which I had installed on the bike. These are for sale in a separate auction, as is a new XR-75 DG pipe which I also have for sale (BOTH HAVE BEEN SOLD). Buyer is responsible for shipping and bike will not be crated.
