Vehicle Detail
This auction has no reserve and the car will go to the highest bidder! Up for sale is my 1972 Amc Javelin SSTThis javelin is a project i have been working on for a couple years but now must sell since im moving to asia for a job. Ive put a lot of work into this car but its time to let someone else finish it.This will make someone a nice winter project. The Good The body is straight and being a southern car there is very little rust (surface rust at back window) There's no rot in the trunk, in the engine bay, or under the car. Both doors and the trunk lid open and close like on a new car. The door guts were disassembled and all window gears and tracks were cleaned and re-lubed All the glass is good with no cracks or chips. The taillights are nice with no cracks or chips. I had both front and rear bumpers rechromed and all the trim is included with the car. Around five years ago i fully rebuilt the front end with new bushings, shocks, tie rods, ball joints, ect... (never had an engine sit in it since) The front end has been converted to disc brakes and all the hardware is new. The rear end is an Amc 20 with a brand new Auburn Gear limited slip differential (posi-traction) no motor has ever been put to it. Heavy duty solid steel traction bars, (i had them rechromed also) The black interior is complete and looks like nice. Both front seats have been reupholstered (never even been sat in, in fact the passenger side isnt even been bolted in yet) New carpet and sound deadener Factory A/C carNew door sills. New door window seals. The grill is included and in nice condition. All the wiring works, turn signals running lights are all up and running when you put a battery in it.An extra fender and door are included. The bad I had the car painted about 5 years ago but the shop that sprayed it used some kind cheap paint that faded quicky and started chipping off in less than a year (700 down the drain). The cars original color was a dark purple. There is no engine or transmission, it was originally equipped with an amc 360/727, it was removed long before i bought the car. The javelin has been sitting in that spot for two years and is very dirty on the outside. The Javelin comes with a bill of sale, I originally had a clear title but lost it in a move, you can get a new title here: www.broadwaytitle.com/ The car is located in Cleburne, texas, around 50 miles south of the DFW metroplex. I will sell international but the buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I am very flexible on the pickup date (if you need a few weeks or months thats fine), however the car must be paid in full within ten days and i require a 200 desposit within 24 hours of auction end.If you are not serious about buying the javelin please dont bid on it. If you have no feedback, you will need to email me in order to bid. Here is my email, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have: lindc208@yahoo.comHappy BiddingOn Nov-03-10 at 18:04:32 PDT, seller added the following information: It seems i have made a mistake and put the VIN number for a 1973 javelin we used to have, please disregard the above VIN, I will try to post the 1972 VIN ASAP.On Nov-05-10 at 01:38:34 PDT, seller added the following information: ******To answer a few questions i have recieved********The car has been outside in the weather for two years now, prior to that it was housed in a shop, it is very dusty inside and out as it has not been washed or cleaned up in any way, the interior has a thick layer of dust as can be seen in the photos. The engine bay has been painted in a silver color that can be seen in the photos of the frceont end, the trunk has been painted with black paint. This is the same car that was listed two months ago, the reason it didnt sell is because the zero feedback bidder who won, turned out to be a deadbeat and a timewaster, he emailed me every week for a month and a half promising that would be the week he would pick it up. The car is not rusty underneath, its been in central texas and i put a nice layer of rubberized undercoat on it, i should know ive spent many hours under that car. The SST emblems are in the console, they were sent off to be rechromed and i never got around to putting them back on the car. On Nov-05-10 at 01:43:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Spelling correction, since ebay wont let me correct it the right way: The engine bay has been painted in a silver color that can be seen in the photos of the front end.
