Vehicle Detail

Here's a fun one. 1940 Packard convertible coupe with a 1949? Cadillac rear clip and 1953? Olds motor and trans (runnable with fresh fuel and tuneup). I don't know the history of the car, but it's been safely parked for decades in a southern California garage. Complete with top bows and 50's caddy hubcaps. Certainly an odd late 50's custom! If anybody has any history, please let me know. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=385008 Here's a discussion on the H.A.M.B. when I bought it last year, lots of fun! The floors are excellent except for drivers side that has been carefully removed and filled with an aluminum panel. This would be a very simple fix. The rest of the floorpan is superb! (see pictures). Car was registered and running in the last 2 years. Clear California title and non-operation permit. No problems here for re-registration or export. I can deliver the car to the exporter of your choice in the Los Angeles area. It's priced at about half of what a stock beater 40 Packard convertible coupe would bring. This could easily be restored back to the original Packard configuration, the rear clip is installed over the original Packard sheetmetal. I'd prefer someone to keep it in the period custom look. Feel free to ask questions or to set up an appointment to see the car.
