This car is being relisted because the reserve was not met. The reserve on this 1966 Porsche 912 has been reduced. I am offering my 1966 Porsche 912 coupe for sale. The car is being sold in it’s AS-IS condition. This Porsche 912 is Gulf Blue, color code 6603 with black and tan interior. The body and chassis serial number is 457234, engine serial number 747489 and currently has 187489 documented miles on the odometer. Body wise: The body is in excellent condition. There are no dents or dings in the body. The body was repaired and repainted in 1990, this includes the replacement of pans, and necessary rust repaired, painted the original (code 6603) color and the entire underside rust proofed. Currently there is only one minor corrosion spot on the hood, minor salt pitting on some of the window chrome and pitting on the air intakes below the headlights and light surface rust in the trunk area. I have always parked the car in a garage, washed it often and waxed it at least every 6 months. All front and read turn lenses were replaced in September 2004. Interior wise: The interior is original and in good condition. There only areas that need attention is the driver’s seat, which has a split in the back section and the carpet needs replacement. The original radio still works, however the speaker is dry rotted and needs to be replaced. The dome lights do not work and the turn signals need the switches aligned or replaced. It does have the rare 3 gauge set up (fuel/temperature, speedometer and tachometer). No doors or interior panels have been cur out for speakers. Mechanically wise: The care is in great condition and was last inspected and necessary repairs were done in September 2004. The 4 speed manual transmission and clutch are in good condition and any necessary repairs were also done in September 2004. The engine does have the original 4 single barreled model 40-P11-4 Solix carburetors. The oil cooler has been replace to insure adequate oil cooling. A new engine compartment pad was installed and all engine compartment and engine sheet metal has been powder coated. The only modification the engine are the replacement of the manual fuel pump (the manual fuel pump is still on the engine, the fuel line looped on the pump) with a low volume electric fuel pump and the ignition system was upgraded to a Pertronix Electronic Ignition System. The is a minor oil leak on the front of the engine. Extras: I do have the original Porsche 912 Service Book, the original Porsche 912 Driver’s Manual, a well used Porsche 912 Handbook and Service Manual, the original owner’s memo book (which has the proof of mileage) and all maintenance receipts. The original owner has requested that I not provide the receipts unless I black out their personal information. If there is a particular receipt the buyer would like to see then I will provide the receipt with the name, address and phone number blacked out. I have provided the best description of this 1966 Porsche 912 and may have missed some items, this was not intentional. The car is being sold AS-IS with no actual or implied warranties.
