Vehicle Detail

hello i have here my 1970 buick gs 350, before you leave ,cause your lookin for a gs 455 please read my listing you might be shocked to find out this gs350 in 1970 had 315hp and 410fpt was 10.25:1 compression and was one really bad 350. in 1971 the epa came along and made gm drop the compression to 8.50:1 on the 350 and 455 motors leaving the 350 with only 260hp and the 455 with 315hp thats right. the 1970 gs350 had the same horsepower as the 1971 gs455.and by 1972 the gs350 had only 195hp and the gs455 has only 225hp in 72. and you might say ya but what about the stage1 455 well in 71 it had 345hp and in 72 it had 270hp. Look really good at the math and the 1970 buick gs350 had the highest compression ratio of any buick gs made for these years. i have a friend with a 1971 buick gs455 and my car will give him a run for his money. now having said all that i will also say this is a # matching car motor and trans and it does run and drive. it has power sterring and power disc brakes. it had factory air and is all there but the compressor is in the trunk, and needs repaired. i also have the build sheet. actually i have two. and they show all the options this car came with and including bucket seats and center console, tinted glass,a really rare rear window defoger look at photos. vinyl top, duel exhaust, ash tray light, dlx trim group, and many many more really cool options. i have a clean title in my hand. this car was built in kansas plant and has spent its whole life in kansas till i bought it. its missing the original breather, steering wheel, and wheels. the guy i bought it from took them to use on a 72 gs.im sure there easy to find here on e-bay. the engine compartment looks original other than the breather. he put some slotted et mags that are in really nice shape but dont look as good as the buick wheels or keystone classics look. it has stainless duel exhaust and sounds really nice. trans shifts really nice and solid. brakes stop really well. now the bad ,it needs drivers side door replaced and drivers rear quarter panel there included with car. pass side will need lower quarter repair or quarter replaced as well. and both front fenders have the usual rust in lower dog leg area. the floors and frame are really nice and solid . i took up carpet and is very solid ,no issues with the floor pans anywhere. the frame is also very solid. the trunk has some rust mostly surface but there is some small rust holes. but i wouldnt say it needs replaced just repaired. the hood and trunk as well as pass door are all very solid.the vinyl top is very worn but no rust holes underneath vinyl very solid top. rear window has never leaked and rear package tray is in nice original condition. the buckets will need recovered but back seat looks like new. the interior looks really good for 40 years old.the glass is all original tinted and not even a rock chip. the windows all roll up and down fine. the dash looks really really nice and original the dash pad is perfect. dash is all original and complete with the exception of the casette player. center console is also really nice. read my feedback i try to describe my cars and have perfect feedback. again read my feedback. this is a really nice running and driving project mucle car. ready for you to make it a really nice show car. not alot of true buick gs cars with bucket, console and i have the build sheets to prove all the options as well. ill try and answer all questions,i believe the motor is fairly fresh because it runs so nice and dont smoke at start up or rev up. sounds really mean. happy bidding. On Oct-24-10 at 21:14:40 PDT, seller added the following information: i had someone point out to me that they also had a lower horsepower 350 in 1970 but the build sheet shows this as the high compression ,high horse 350.trust me this is a very hard running car. im sorry i never got a photo of the rear. both front and rear bumpers are solid not rusty.some small dings but nothing major.
