Up for sale is my 1997 Audi A8 Quattro which I have owned for over 3 years. Prior to purchase I ran the carfax and I saw that the car had been involved in an accident and it was hit in the rear, I questioned the used Dealer but they didn't have any information on the accident or extent of repairs. I looked on Audipages.com and purchased everything that was needed for the Timing Service and Transmission Flush. I ordered the majority of the parts from Autohausaz.com and after I received everything I had a local Import Repair Facility perform the services which included, Timing Service, change oil cooler hose and o-rings, cooling system flush, new spark plugs, oil & filter change, blow out water drains, new front rotors with front and rear brakes, replace reservoir. There are no service or warning lights on in the dash. In May 09 I had to have my Transmission replaced, I ordered a remaufactured unit and had the Audi Dealership install it. Since the repair I haven't had any problems with the Transmission and it's been on a couple road trips from Biloxi Mississippi to Jackson Mississippi and driven locally. A recent repair was I had ordered the Electric Radiator Fan and had the Import Repair Facility change it because I guess with age I could hear the motor/fan starting to rattling. My mechanic told me there is an exhaust leak around the head and the gaskets were more than likely worn out, and besides that the car was pretty sound based on age/mileage. I have enjoyed my 1997 Audi A8 and have recently upgraded to a newer model A8L. The car sits low, this is the way it was when I purchased it, one of the previous owners lowered the car. The ride feels pretty good to me and looked sporty but of course you need to take it easy going over a speed bump. The tires have about 75% tread remaining, their are no cracks in the glass. There are no oil leaks, the car is basically a 3-4th car that is sitting at my parents. I am in Germany and the Audi is in Biloxi but when I go home I drive it along with other vehicles. The car has the following options and they all work: Power windows, power mirrors, 6CD Changer, power door locks, factory security system, cruise, solar sunroof, rear window power sunshade, heated front/rear seats, A/C, on board computer. As far as accessories I had the windows tinted and ordered a pair of chrome muffler tips shortly after I purchased the car.
