This is a clean and solid rust free low mile 4 door supercab ranger with matching fiberglass tonneau cover & bed liner. It has air conditioning , power windows and locks with remote key fob. Am/Fm stereo with CD and cassette. Engine is a 3.0 liter V6 with Flex Fuel capability. It is in excellent condition with no fluid leaks, no dents and only a few scratches here and there. It was dads truck and very well cared for with some service records available. Tires and brakes are very good and interior is in excellent shape. It has passed state vehicle inspection. It runs and drives great but does have an issue- a code p0171 which is indicating that the 2nd shift solenoid will need replacement. Symptom is sometimes it will stay in first gear for a bit longer before shifting into 2nd. Care has been taken not to burn the transmission up as you can manually tap it into second with the lever when needed. The belt or a pulley also has a squeak as its been sitting for a while. And the last issue is the lock mechanism on the tonneau cover needs some tinkering. I have listed this vehicle in effort of full disclosure and to the best of my ability which I feel is very accurate. The code it had was I believe a p1756 if im not mistaken. The code was cleared a while back and has not returned. The truck is rarely driven these days. The symptom is correctly listed. I double checked the truck over today after I realized my error and found also the right power mirror operates in up/ down directions only there is no side to side movement. The heating / air conditioning Fan blower switch has only the 3rd and 4th (high) fan setting operative. The lowest and second fan speed do not work. It may need a switch or a blower resitor as well. My apologies for the error.On Oct-15-10 at 21:26:31 PDT, seller added the following information: This truck currently runs and drives. The transmission is not burned up and does not slip. It has a delayed 1 - 2 shift due to a faulty B shift solenoid. I verified my records that it indeed had a p1756( b solenoid performance code). The key to driving this truck in its current state is by manually overriding the trans during the 1 - 2 shift. This is easily accomplished by using the shift lever. Doing so will prevent the trans from going into fail safe mode. As long as the driver of the truck is familiar with the condition, It can be driven long distances. One who does not understand this , can and will burn the trans up. The trans valve body should be serviced and replace the B solenoid to remedy this. As for the belt / pulley squeak , it is heard at start up and fades. I sprayed a little on the belt and tensioner and the squeak goes away but it comes back after a while. Either way , the truck does need some repairs but it can definitely be driven to its new home.
