2000 Ford Windstar SEL The miles on this van are primarily highway commuter miles from living 45 minutes from work. My brother (a Ford mechanic) owned it before me. He bought it used, so I'm not sure how many owners it's had. BUT -- being a Ford mechanic -- he kept it running well and serviced properly. I have done the same. I would not be afraid to hop in this van and drive it anywhere in the country. That having been said, this is a 10-year old van. It has it's nicks and bruises and bumps and scratches, and the idiosyncrasies of any used auto. For example, the check engine light has been on for years. The problem is an oxygen sensor(s), the last time I checked. It's been the same each time. It runs great and doesn't use any fluids. We have had no reason to go the expense of replacing the idiot oxygen sensor just to get the light to turn off. Once in a while the seat belt light will come on for a while, likewise the parking brake light. What can I tell ya, it's a used car. Neither of these quirks cause the car to run poorly. I've replaced the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. The cruise works 98% of the time, but once in a great while it doesn't. I'm working on solving that problem, but may or may not get that accomplished by end of auction. There is some rust damage on both rear doors (see photos). Tires are in outstanding condition. Front brakes, calipers, pistons, etc. were replaced last spring. This has been an everyday driver for me for the last 2½ years. The only reason I'm selling is because my employer has given me a vehicle to use and I have no room for the van. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.
