1981 Suzuki GS

For sale is a beautiful 1981 GS850GL. Runs good, looks even better. Everything works like it should. This bike is a definite 9 out of 10. I like to be completely honest and forthright with no surprises. Here are the flaws: -Bottom side of exhaust has rust spot (1 on each muffler) about size of quarter. Does not emit exhaust, and is not thru pipe, just the surface chrome is rusted. Cannot see from looking at bike, need to get down on knees and look under exhaust. -Two ever so slight creases (about 1 inch each) in front fender. Hard to see looking at bike from few feet away. -Hairline crack in one side cover - hard to notice unless inspecting carefully. -Rear tire is rideable, but can use replacing within about 5,000 miles. -Well, that's the issues to note. Because this is a 1981 bike (29 years old), and I have not owned it for that long, I may not have itemized every single nuance if you dismantled the bike bolt by bolt. This is what I have found, and just want to be forthright. Here are the highlights: -Bike looks like it is almost brand new. See pics. -Gas tank has NO dents, and NO rust inside. Paint lusters nicely. -Chrome is very nice all around (note the two points above). -All electrics work as they should. -Brand new battery yesterday. -Carbs were recently removed and cleaned via ultrasonic method, then reinstalled along with new air intake o-rings. -Brand new air filter and new foam seals around air filter box. -Brand new spark plugs. -Brand new front tire with 5 miles. Pics still show the nubs on tire. -Removeable and adjustable backrest/luggage rack. -Windscreen. -Highway pegs. -Tool kit was brand new, used once now. Toolkit sleeve even is embossed with GSL. -Clear title. -Owners manual. -Shop manual. -Extra set of mirrors. -Cruise control. -Seat is like new. -Runs nice. Rode the bike around 10 miles today and it is a joy to ride. Comfortable, strong, and smooth. Only serious bidders please bid. Don’t take well to deadbeats. At close of auction, high bidder must pay $500 via paypal within 24 hours. You can then pay via cash in person or rest via paypal, with 7 days. Bike will need to be picked up near Libertyville, IL. If you are having it shipped, I will help by putting it in the driveway and working out a pickup time with the shipper, but bike must still be paid for in full within 7 days as noted.
