Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this 1970 GMC pickup. This truck would make someone a perfect shop truck or with not much work this truck could also steal the show. I have owned the truck for about 2 years and I drive it on a regular basis. Of all the old cars i have and have owned i trust this one the most. Its very dependable. Well i'll tell ya about the truck. Its a 1970 GMC C/15 short bed fleetside. the motor is the stock 307 and the tranny is a three speed on the column. The motor has some miles on it but i dont no how many. It burns a little oil but not to bad. The motor has long headers and i recently took off the carb and replaced it with a new holley 650. I pump the gas peddle about 5 times when its cold and it fires up every time. It idles good, pulls good and runs good. The tranny is also in good shape. It shifts good in all gears, hardly every grinds and never pops out of gear like most 3 speeds do. sometimes when the trucks cold its alittle hard to find first but once its warm its good to go. As soon as i got the truck I bought and air ride kit from chassis tech and installed it. The kit had a compressor box called the Plug-n-Play. The compressor and air valves are all in the box. It has a wiring harness and brass compression fittings for the air lines all built into the box. The kit came with a 5 gallon air tank, air in and air out adjustable valves, in line water filter, guage pod with 2 dual needle gauges and 4 switches built in, and 4 chassis tech air bags. I didnt c notch the frame or change the a arms to let it set on the ground. In the pics the truck is as low as it goes. While I had the suspension apart doing the installation i put 2" drop spindles on, disc braked the front, new brake lines, upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, sway bar bushing, rebuilt the back brakes, lowered the back 2", and changed to big 5 lug pattern front and rear. So the suspension is pretty much new and improved. This truck drives and handles the curves like a dream. As far as body goes, it not to bad. There is some rust on bed behind the wheel openings on both sides. There is rust on the bottom of both doors. there is also some rust around the windshield but mainly on the top side. The cab corners, rocker panels, floor pans, front fenders, hood, and cab are, as far as i know, rust free. It also has some body filler on it but dont they all. The chrome is in great shape. All the lights work and the lenses are good. All the glass is good and the corner glasses dont even whistle in the wind. The good thing is that all the rust is fixable or replaceable. The interior is in decent shape. carpets pretty new. seat cover is brand new and matches the door panels. gas tank is behind the seat. all the gauges work except the fuel gauge. The door felts needs replacing and the door rubber has been changed but its kinda cheap. The heater and defroster work good but the slider for the floor or defrost control is broke off. Wipers work great and the squirter tries to work but no water comes out. It also has power steering. Like I said before this truck is a perfect shop truck but is also a perfect driving fix er upper. I would drive this truck anywhere. I will answer any ? you need to know. I am also selling it locally and may end this auction early if sold. I am willing to make arrangements for partial delivery depending on distance. Highest bidder at end of auction will pay a $200 deposit via paypal before pickup arrangements are made. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
