Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a used Chevy Express one ton van. I bought this from a local water district that used it to perform service calls and deliveries. It is in great shape and is a nice van. I have a similar Express that my family uses as our main vehicle. I love these vans. This is a cargo version of the Express van. It only has two seats for the driver and a passenger. There are not any seats in the back. In the back it has a good set of Weather Guard brand tool and parts shelves installed. There is also a nice Weather Guard bulkhead installed between the cargo area and the front cabin. It all is in good using condition. Also installed in the back is a electric inverter. It takes 12 volt power from the van and converts it into 110 volt DC current so that you can run a trouble light or a electric hand tool like a drill. It has a place for a 12 volt battery in a battery holder and it is empty. It works great, but you will need to provide your own battery as I did not get one with it. I took a battery out of a farm truck and I installed it and tested it all out. I even used it to drill some holes with a drill and it did fine. There is a power strip with several outlets installed right inside the sliding door on the side so it is easy to use from inside or outside the van. The cargo area is clean and not all beat up like a lot are. This van has been well cared for. There is a sticker on the drivers door that reads: GVWR: 9500 lbs Front: 4300 lbs Rear: 6084 lbs All the glass and the seats in the cab are good. All the gauges work and the van holds good oil pressure and does not get hot. The cab is plain and not very fancy, but it is just what you need for a work van. The van has heat and a extra blower fan, but it does not have airconditioning. I thought about installing seats into the rear of the van as it would be good for hauling people as well. If the buyer of the van wants some seats to install in it, I have three rows of seats out of a van that are like new that I will sell for $150.00 each. The engine in the van is a V-8 5.7 liter that really runs smoothly and has lots of power. The oil stays up and is very clean. The serpentine belt has been recently replaced and the whole thing looks well maintained. The transmission is a four speed automatic and it shifts and pulls great. Both the engine and transmission work good and I noticed when we installed the driveshaft that they are clean and dry underneath. It does not use or leak fluids. The tires on the van are in good condition. They are size LT245/75R16 and all hold air and work fine. They have the following tread depth: Right front: 12/32 Right reat: 14/32 - this was the spare and it is new Left front: 11/32 Left rear: 5/32 The left rear has the least tread , but it is still a good tire. I would not be afraid to drive the van anywhere on them. All the lights and turn signals work great. The interior of the van has cargo lights installed and they work good to light it up. The van has a sliding door on the side and it has glass in the door which is also nice to let more light in during the day. The rear door also has glass in it and they both work good. The whole outside of the van is in good condition. It is not beat up or rusty. This is really a nice van for its age. The van was driven over a curb right before I bought it and the curb creased the aluminum driveshaft, blew out a rear tire, and the drivers airbag went off. I replaced the driveshaft, and installed the spare tire. The tire stored where the spare goes is the flat one. I did not do anything with the air bag as I do not know how. The van was not damaged in any other way. We have been using it here around the shop to make parts runs and for errands and it runs great. When it had a bent drive shaft, it vibrated on the road. But after I installed a new driveshaft, it is really is smooth and drives nicely. The drivers airbag has been deployed. You are buying it that way, I do not know how to replace it. This is a nice van. You are welcome to come look at it and drive it around before the auction ends. It has low miles and it just has been well cared for. If I had a use for it, I would keep it. I have a local trucking company that I highly recommend that you call if you need a quote on having larger items like machinery and large trucks hauled to you. They are DAB Transport and their phone number is: (816)230-4135. They are located in Odessa, Missouri, and are just all around good folks to deal with. They are equipped to deal with about anything you need hauled, including tall bucket trucks and heavy machinery. I am located 100 miles West of the St. Louis airport, 10 miles off Interstate 70 at the Kingdom City exit #148 in Fulton, Mo, 65251. If you buy a vehicle from me and want to drive it home, there is a nice shuttle service that runs between the Kansas City (KCI) airport and the St. Louis (STL) airport. It is called: MO-X. They make a stop at my exit on I-70 at a McDonalds restaurant to pick up and drop off passengers. I can meet you in Kingdom City with your vehicle purchase so you can drive it home. There is also a local license bureau where you can buy a one way trip permit temporary tag if you want one. PAYMENT AND AUCTION REQUIREMENTS Do not ask me to sell it early, or take less than the starting price. I will not end the auction for a local sale either. I can load it onto anything that you send to pick it up. Delivery for an additional fee is a possibility within 250 miles of Fulton, Mo, 65251. E-mail me for a quote. I have a neighbor kid that helps me on the farm that will deliver stuff sometimes. I require payment in full within one week of auctions end. Once it is paid for, there is no hurry for you to pick it up - take six months if need be! If you don't come get it after six months have passed since the end of the auction, it will be resold, and my wife gets the proceeds. If you have a legitimate reason why you need to wait longer than six months to pick up your purchase, contact me and we will work something out. If you have any questions, you can e-mail or call me at (573) 219-6611. Thanks for looking and please check out my other auctions! LOCAL PICK UP I am a cattle farmer here in Mid-Missouri, so I am flexible about when you want to come and get items you have purchased from me, but I try and keep a schedule for my families benefit. I ask that you come between 9:00 in the morning and 4:00 at night. I am not available on Sundays whatsoever - that is God and family day, so don't ask! Just because I am a farmer does not mean that I am here everyday, I travel around to auctions and surplus sales and am gone several times a week. So don't do like some folks have in the past and drive 800 miles to get here and find out I am gone. You must contact me before you just show up! My granny always said that showing up unannounced was rude - you have to give people notice so they can get presentable. CONTACT ME If you have any questions about this item, or about delivery or shipping, you can call me or email me. Don't be shy! The only stupid question is the one you are afraid to ask. I prefer email as it lets me answer questions at night when I am not busy and it gives me time to find the right answer to your questions. I also run tractors and skid loaders here on the farm and a lot of times I do not hear my phone. I also live in a rural area and in a lot of places I do not get phone service. One of the places I do not get good coverage is in my shop! So if you can't get me on the phone, try back later or better yet, send me an email and I will get back with you. You can send me an email through ebay or you can send it to me directly to: olivet@ktis.net My cell phone number is: (573)219-6611 Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list!
