Vehicle Detail

You're bidding on a Land Rover 110 Pickup with a rover 200Tdi diesel engine that I purchased from Rovers Out East last spring. I will describe this truck accurately as I wish had been done for me. First, this is a neat truck so here's what it is: The Good: - Engine seems in good condition, quiet at least as diesels go - Transmission quiet, shifts well - Brakes works well, stops straight - No leaks in drive train - other than swivel balls The OK: - Paint is reasonably good - it is a quicky job from 10ft looks good - Interior is used - I didn't clean it for the photos, would look a little better - Tires have half life left or so - The bulkhead has surface rust, some heavy but no holes that I have seen The Not So Good: The easy stuff: - Tail lights need fiddling - Fuel guage not working - Swivel ball seals need replacing - Front vent seals shot - There are a variety of other small things that need attention - Needs new front springs - I will include the springs, you put them on The Hard Stuff: - The chassis has rust. I has been repaired in the past, and it could be patched up again, but it will need a new frame if you plan on having this long term. I have a photo of the worst of it below. - The engine conversion was so-so in quality. Mostly the problems revolve around two things, 1) wiring cobbed together 2) there is a sporadic fuel delivery problem. There are various items wire-tied that should have bolts. - The truck usually runs, when it does it will do 70 and not breathe too hard - It does stop, sometimes in inconvenient places.... My guess is it has to do with the out-of-a-junkyard electric fuel pump and/or wiring to the pump. The truck is supposed to have a mechanical FP, it wasn't connected when I got it and I have put a new mech pump on but have not connected the hoses. For this reason, I would not plan on driving it home. - Fuel tank has a leak whe over 1/2 full - There is some aluminum corrosion in the bed, rear of the bed and on the seat box I know that I will be taking a big loss on this truck by describing it honestly - however my integrity is worth more than a few thousand $. I have bought and sold several vehicles online very satisfactorily, this is an exception. I am selling because I have other projects and was not expecting this to be a project based on how it was described to me, and I simply don't have time time or patience to deal with it. I am happy to help with shipping, the truck is stored inside and will be until you pick it up. I require a $500 deposit via PayPal within 48hr of auction close the balance paid in full prior to pickup. I will overnight the title upon full payment, which must be made within 7 days of auction close.
