1987 BMW 735i, 4 door Champagne silver with a rich brown leather interior. Inline 6 cyl 3.5 Liter with automatic trany. Has all the options available for that year. Body is straight almost rust free ( a couple spots ). Has an almost perfect brown leather interior. Engine runs great, trany shifts like its supposed to except there is a switch to make it manual or standard ( the switch does not work and its stuck in the manual position ) therefore you have to manually move the selector into low and slide it into the 2nd and 3rd and drive as you start from a stop. Otherwise it will start out in 3rd gear and is very slow off the line.( this switch is bad and it should be replaced). There are 108,754 miles on the car and this is the actual mileage. All the glass is good - all the power windows work fine - all the lights work as they should, except the right headlight is out (high beam does work) the brakes work fine - the heater works fine - the wipers work but need new blades. The tires are o.k. they are 255/60 R 15. The car starts good and drives down the road nice and smooth without any problems.I bought this car at a Sheriff's auction and I have all the paperwork from the Sheriff to apply for a title, but I have not done the application yet, so there is NO TITLE. If the car does sell I would be willing to do the application for title" at the buyer's expense " but the state is somewhat slow in getting the title out (it could take up to 60 days) or I can turn the paperwork over to you and you can do it yourself. The car was in inside storage for over 9 years when I bought it last summer. I had to replace the 2 belts for the alternator and the power steering, I also installed a replacement battery. Everything else was o.k. I brought it over to my mechanic's house and the very next week it hailed, so the car has some hail damage. The damage is somewhat light and hard to see unless you stand at an angle to it,I tried to show it in the picture's but it did not show up very well. You are buying the car AS IS and WHERE IS and are responsible for transporting it in any manner you like. ( I am able to get current plates if I do the title application in the event you want to drive it home). I need to get a 300.00 deposit within 24 hrs of the end of the auction and full payment when you pick the car up. I have done my best to be honest and include everything I know about the car. Thanks for looking On Oct-06-10 at 05:47:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had some concern about the car actually being a 1987, so I checked with BMW Motorworks. I gave them the vin# and they told me is is without a doubt a 1987 and not a 1988 as I have been told. I also went to the DMV with the paperwork I have and was told there would be no problem getting a title. Although the title would only be issued in my name as you cannot jump over and register it in the new buyer's name. For some reason when I checked the vehicle history on Ebay, it came up as a 1988 and it also showed 148,000 miles. I don't know how the vehicle history works but I believe it is wrong. Number 1--it is a 1987 and number 2--the odometer reads 108,754.
