Vehicle Detail
1973 Corvette Convertible. Runs great, long distance drives no problem, rides great, strong runner. 350 with automatic transmission so wife has enjoyed driving it also. Selling because we are building a house. Numbers matching, updated original car with excellent seats, door panels, dash etc. All the gauges appear to work except for the Tach, car was converted to an HEI. Body appears straight, note pics. I don't have much of a history on the car, but I do know the previous owner had it for 5 years. Includes black hard top and new white soft top. Tires have lots of tread left. Condition is that of a daily driver, thus price reflects that. Paint has some dings here and there, and oxidation on the hood, but shines nicely and looks very good to the average person. You can actually drive this car down the highway and not be worried about your paint the whole time. Front bumper is the original plastic so it has the expected cracks etc. A replacement is $260 for the Truflex. Rust: there is a rust spot on the frame rail, left side, but not on right. That would probably need attention in 10 or so years - nothing that I would call a major issue. There is a rust spot on the driver door, strange location in the center of the rear of the door about a 1/3 of the way down from the top, most likely from the window seal. You don't really see it but the paint is bubbling. Radiator support has some rust, again nothing horrible. Just mentioning what I've observed. An alignment was done on the car 2 weeks ago to eliminate a minor pull to the right. Everything was still tight to align all 4 tires, so suspension wise the car is in very good condition. U-joints, etc. all felt good while car was on lift. Drivetrain. I had the rear end differnetial fluid replaced yesterday and it appears to have eliminated the posi clutch "popping" noise I had mentioned in the previous listing. Transmission does leak when it's been sitting for weeks at a time. Most likely the front seal, an additive might make that go away. I have described everything to the best of my ability. If you have questions, email BEFORE you bid, car is available to see or have a mechanic evaluate before auction ends. I am an honest Ebayer with 100% feedback and expect the same from the buyer. $300 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close. Thanks!
