You are bidding on a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS. This pampered car is a 2 owner that I bought for my wife when it only had a couple of thousand miles. It had a clean carfax at that time and it has not been wrecked while we have owned it. The car has a straight body, paint in excellent condition, brand new Bridgestone Potenza tires (205 55R 16), super clean inside and out, and never smoked in as long as we have owned it. This is the high performance GTS model with an automatic that can be placed in the manual mode and shifted with paddle shifter buttons on the steering wheel. It has ground effects, wing, factory electric sliding sunroof, A/C, CD/cassette/ AM/FM (No changer), cruise control, keyless entry/alarm, factory mats, and 16 inch wheels. The car was garaged as long as we have owned it and only has 42,000 miles. I have service records, manual, and the car has been meticulously maintained with synthetic oil changes every 4-5 thousand miles. The car has always been professionally detailed. All creature comforts but no leather or power seats. The sunroof has developed what appears to be very fine stress cracks in the glass about 4 inches on the back probably from riding around with the sunroof partially open (no leaks it is a appearance issue) and the brakes squeak when backing out of the garage but after a few taps on the brake pedal it goes away. This car will seriously accelerate and handles like it is on rails but has been adult owned and not abused during the time we have owned it. We bought the car in 2003 at age 49 and my wife drove it back and forth to work for 5 years. In 2008 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, then went through surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments rendering her unable to drive. She passed away in August of this year so the car is being sold to settle her final expenses and medical bills. The car has been driven very little in the last 2 years (just enough to keep the battery charged) and it was replaced by the local Toyota dealer within the last 12 months. The car has been under a car cover in the garage for the entire time of her illness. Bids will be accepted from ebay members in the lower 48 states of the USA. Sorry, No Alaska or Hawaii. Bidders with 5 or fewer feedbacks are blocked. Sorry. Buyer will send a $500 non-refundable deposit through Paypal within 48 hours of the close of this auction. The balance of the funds will be paid with a certified cashiers check from a United States bank and received by me within 7 days of the end of the auction. My bank requires a minimum 5 business day hold to clear funds on large checks before the car can be picked up or shipped. The title will not be released until the funds clear to my account. If the buyer chooses to ship the car you assume all responsibility for arranging the shipment, paying all costs associated with the shipping process,(including insurance) and liability for any damages/theft during the shipment. If the winning bidder wants to fly into the Greensboro, NC (GSO) airport to drive the car home after the funds have cleared to my bank account (5 business day minimum) I will be willing to meet you at the airport. I cannot go to Charlotte or Raleigh sorry.
