I purchased this vehicle about 2 months ago, planned on keeping it and putting a new paint job and nicer wheels on it, etc..but my priorities have changed, I already own a car and 2 cars for me is not really ideal. The First thing I did was have installed a Magnaflow Exhaust and chrome tip that makes it look nicer, the sound is not loud, but a nice smooth tone, next was a new Detachable Face Kenwood Stereo CD System. After that I had installed new ceramic brake pads and rotors in the front, and had the Transmission Serviced, the previous owner had installed a new Water Pump, Thermostat, Alternator and belts about a year ago, and a Radiator. The timing belt was replaced at 60K miles in 1995, there is approximately 6k miles of life left in it. the Pop-Up headlights work great, this little baby runs and shifts very nicely and with Overdrive and rear wheel drive cruises nicely on the highway and around town. These cars are known to last up to about 300k miles, not many survived because the "drifter" crowd. The only issues are of course the original 1984 Silver paint is pretty well done, a small crack on the dash, an intermittent problem with the wiper switch, the front passenger corner running light is broken and out, and a small crease by the pop open gas door, and wear on the driver's seat, has seat covers on the front seats so they both match, and the a/c needs service, just noticed after a little run around today the front passenger center cap came off..Car is Rust Free. The Trunk is Very Nice and the light works in there too, the back seats fold down for extra hauling. The Interior is clean and presentable and overall condition of this vintage 1980's Toyota is very nice, Very clean under the hood and runs smooth, quiet and is really a neat car. Has the original owner's manual in the glovebox. If You like 30 plus MPG this is for you!! I hate to sell , I can't drive a sporty car very long without a lot of discomfort. It is registered until May 2011, and I am not going to go through the whole process since its going at a low price, being that it is currently registered in California it should be fine.
