For sale 1977 Mercedes Benz 450sl Roadster. Body in excellent condition.Vehicle has 2 sets of wheels.16" chrome with brand new tires on the vehicle.Original 14" chrome wheels with tires are in fair condition.Two tops hard top in excellent condition.Soft top is in fair condition.Just has a new water pump installed several hundres miles ago along with the new tires. The vehicle was purchased by me approx 5 years ago with 166000 miles on it.The woman I bought it from was from California and moved back to Northeast Pa. It was stored in the winter heare.I also did not drive it in the winter months and was stored in a garage.I believe I am the third owner I have had the oil changed every three thousand miles and previous owner also maintained it well. Vehicle has 196300 miles but rins very well and was just recently inspected.As noted four new tires and water pump. This is a fun driver and I used it when the sun was shining to take my wife out on weekends. What you need to know about the car.As mentioned it does run well but with 196000 miles on it the following items I want you to be aware of. V-8 motor runs well but has a lifter ticking especially when it first starts.I have taken it to two european mechanics and they both agreed it just the lifter and has no problem driving it as it is or could be adjusted. The motor and tramission does leak a couple ounces of fluid every few months.Tranny shifts fine.Right power window has to push the button several times to get the window to go up.Air conditioner not working not sure if its just the belt or a pulley bearing defective.Cruise control works but knocks itself off when pulling up a hill duting accelleration.Soft top has a couple small holes and will could be replaced if you plan on restoring the car. Brake light comes on and have had it checked out was advised the brakes are fine its the dummy light.New fog lights need to be hooked up.Trunk carpet is in ok condition has a couple small holes in same.Interior is in good condition seat have a couple crackes in the seats.Carpeting is in good condition.
