Vehicle Detail
Here for auction is a highly desirable 1964 1/2 mustang. This car came from the factory Burgundy with black interior and she had the 289 4v with a 4 speed manual trans. Unfortunatley she has gone through some changes over the yrs but she could be converted back if you wanted. She is now white and has an automatic. The car has almost all the ear marks of a GT but I think she is a clone since everything I read says GT's didnt come out till April of 65. She has the GT Disc brakes up front, the GT fog lights and the GT tail pipes in the lower valance and GT wheels. The car also has dealer installed A/C but it does not work but everything is there. The car is a real looker but not perfect. She is a good 10 footer. The paint is shiny and nice but does have some blemishes. She is actually a very straight old Mustang. The interior is all original and looks very nice. The car is an older restoration so she shows some wear but overall the car looks great and is a nice driver. Both front seats have a split seem at the top edge where the sun cooks them and the drivers seat has one small rip. Other then that the interior is nice. The car has a rebuilt motor in it built by ED Hale a well respected egine builder here in San Diego. The motor has a bit of a cam in it and sounds great. It has headers and runs awsome. The trans shifts smoothly and she stops great. Mechanically the car runs and drives very well. The car has also been converted to a rack and pinion steering which helps out alot. Rust wise she is as solid as they get. I have not found any rust anywhere. It has one bubble in the bottom of the drivers door about the size of a pencil eraser. The floors show no rust and the trunk is solid. These 64 1/2 mustangs are getting hard to find and This one was quite a pony in 1964 with the V8 and 4 speed maunal trans. Wether you want to change her back to original or leave her as is this is one nice old Mustang. This car is being offered AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. You are more then welcome to come take a look in person or have the car inspected by a third party prior to sale and I can be available for inspection pretty much anytime.
