Vehicle Detail

This will be my 3rd & last time to sell my car; unfortunately the last 2 auctions missed reserve. So I'll lower it to help myself out & realize financial times are impacting on many of us. I was selling last time because I was chasing a real estate deal; and thankfully this opportunity has come to fruition. So I'll take a resonable loss to take advantage of a better opportunity for me. Thank you and God Bless America. 1969 Camaro X-11 Norwood-built Convertible. This is a very rare, very late model 1969, as it was built the 4th week of October, 1969. The date is correct! Many so-called “experts” apparently are unaware of the difference this date makes with 99% of other 1969 Camaros! This very rare Convertible originally came painted the rare and most desirable Garnet Red color, but now sports a slightly different hue from PPG called Oriental Red. It’s gorgeous! Original, mint condition black Deluxe Basketweave interior. Original front door & rear seat panels. Repo black floor carpeting in excellent condition. Original & RARE rosewood dash option. New white convertible top (and a spare NEW white convertible top!). Mint original black top cover. Power Steering. Power Top. Completely rebuilt power front disc brakes (new rotors, new lines, new pads, rebuilt & chromed master cylinder, new brake lines, etc). Completely rebuilt front suspension (coil springs, upper & lower a-arm bushings, idler arm, etc.). Rear brakes completely rebuilt: NEW drums (not turned!), new springs, pads, etc. Recently rebuilt TH350 transmission with mild B&M shift kit. Rebuilt 12-Bolt limited slip rearend with new Tom axles, & Timken bearings. Ratio is a nice highway gear setup of 3:08. 15x7 rallys up front (205-60R-15 tires); 15x8 rallys (235-60R-15s) in the rear. Chrome water pump, chrome external-regulator type alternator, new horn relay with chromed & finned cover. “Hot rod” type gauges are new. Chrome dipstick and chromed power steering reservoir cap. NEW polished aluminum Cyclone intake. Rebuilt Holley 600 carburetor. Rebuilt fuel pump. Original 1969 Camaro SS/Corvette finned aluminum valve covers (NOT the chrome ones as shown in photos!). Chromed radiator support bars. Rebuilt starter. New voltage regulator. Mechanicals have less than 500 miles on them! Rechromed rear bumper & front & rear bumper guards included with successful sale, but as of this date have not been installed on the car! Engine currently is a period correct date 1969 307 engine. Some bad: there are a couple of very small road paint chips. Chrome beltline behind top has 3-4 dings from a wayward 2x4, but easily repairable. Very minor rust under passenger seat: about 1/8-1/4” wide and 4-5 inches in length; again an easy 2-4 hrs of repair. Small rust on right bottom of radiator support mounting hole, but very small amount. The heater core leaked so I disconnected it; I have a brand new heater core for the successful buyer/bidder. This is an excellent driver quality automobile that will garner much attention. This is a beautiful car. There are many nice 1969 Camaro convertibles that come up for sale, but most seem to have manual tops, standard interiors, and lack the very rare rosewood dash trim. I’ll let you figure out just how much these conversion parts cost AND the cost to install them! I can be reached @ (831) 242-6646 (days) and (831) 663-5324 (eves before 9 PST) for private discussions. I strongly encourage a personal inspection; and also recommend telephonic discussion so your inquires are answered as best & honestly as I can. Successful bidder must pay within 15 days of auction’s close by certified AMERICAN bank check, but I prefer electronic funds inter-bank transfer; or cash in person. Electronic transfers must clear my bank BEFORE any release. PLEASE find out for yourself just what amount of time these checks ACTUALLY clear banks! The time period is typically 30-40 days! Transportation is the cost and responsibility of buyer. I can store the vehicle indoors for up to 45 days past the date of auction’s closing. After that, storage fees will apply and it’s not cheap! So please make every effort for prompt payment & pick up. NO INTEREST in any TRADES I have tried to be completely honest about this description. I strongly encourage any personal inspection, but due to many personal needs and responsibilities, I can only accommodate a Saturday personal inspection. I’ll try to be available as reasonably as possible. I greatly appreciate all bids and inquiries. This is an adult, MAN’s hobby, and I expect all to act accordingly in a gentlemanly fashion. Thank you for any interest and bids.
