1983 Mercedes 380SL. Exterior has been refinished in spotless black. The finish is mirror glossy..very inpressive. The alloys are excellent and the radials nice. The car has two tops, a black hard top and a very nice 6 month old dark brown soft top. The interior show very impressively for a close to 30 year old car. Remember, this is a Florida Benz and the intense heat really wears interiors here..this one shows very nicely. Note that the only real sign of Florida interior interior wear is the cracking of the vineer of the burled wood from the daily heat exposure. It is best to study the many photos posted below so you can see the condition of the car for yourself. Mechanicallly the car is excellent, only 126,525 miles on her. If you know the 380 series of Mercedes, you know that they were built in the early 80's with a single timing chain..if the chain breaks, the engine blows...this car has been converted to the double timing chain so there are no mechanical worries here. Engine is smooth, transmission shifts perfectly. Power windows work, the climate control system operates as it should, blower operates correctly, Ice Cold A/C..Note there is a small hairline crack at the bottom of the lower left hand corner of the windshield, well away from your eyeline, impossible to see in the photos..just remember the car is closing in on 30 years old and there is a wear factor to consider due to the car's age..overall this is a real sold excellent looking type 107 Mercedes great to tool around in with style...thanks
