Vehicle Detail

Hello, and Thanks for looking at my Jeep. You are looking at a very highly customized Jeep. This Jeep has the total package...Performance & Great Looks! A quick list of a few of the options: Power Steering, Power 4 wheel disc brakes, Vintage Air A/C, heat & defrost, Fuel injection, Manual transmission with .68 overdrive, Bestop Super Top soft top, Bestop Bikini top (a black one and a white one), 6 point roll cage, custom guages, tilt steering column, lots of Stainless Steel accessories (Mirrors, hinges, brackets, etc.) and much much more. I started this project 15 years ago and it took over 3 years to finish. It was taken all the way down to the frame and then meticulously rebuilt with the best parts I could afford...& sometimes couldn't afford :). The frame, body, inner fenders, 6-point roll cage, and underside of the hood were all material blasted and then coated with Zinc Chromate primer (the same stuff used on Battle Ships). Then the frame, undercarriage of the body, inner fenders, and underside of the hood were painted with an industrial gloss black paint. The entire interior was Line-X'ed in a medium grey and the roll-cage was painted the same purple that is on the exterior of the Jeep. It has Polyurethane Body Mounts and hardware holding everything together. It is powered by a 5.0 Liter Ford H.O. motor out of an '89 Ford Mustang. It was completely rebuilt before being installed with all new parts & pieces. It has an E303 camshaft that provides TONS of low-end torque and a nice rumble when at idle. The heads have had some slight port work on the intake & exhaust ports to just clean up the O.E. casting flash. The stock intake was also port to match the intake gaskets and for appearances sake it was polished along with the O.E. aluminum valve covers. The Ford fuel injection is being run by the O.E. computer wired with a Ford Motor Sport Street Rod Harness. The ignition was upgraded with Mallory Promaster coil, wires, cap and such. The fuel system starts in the rear with a custom built Aero Tank brand 24 gallon fuel tank with an internal fuel sump and pump assembly with a 255 lph pump, with a welded on skid plate to protect it from any damage. Then it is custom plumped with 3/8 stainless steel fuel line into a Mallory 3140 fuel filter and then is finally plumbed into the factory fuel rails. It also has MAC equal length shorty headers with 2 1/2" exhaust leading to 2 Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers and finally the tailpipes that are all run inside the frame rails and exit all the way out of the rear, so no burns on your legs when climbing out of this one. The transmission is a custom one-off piece that was built during the initial part of this build using a Jeep T-5 transmission case, but then machined to carry the larger bearing and such from a World Class Ford T-5 (Same transmission found in many highly modified 5 Liters). Using this combination transmission, I was able to use the Mustang bellhousing which houses a billet flywheel and a GT-40 clutch assembly with a custom hydraulic external clutch slave cylinder (still uses the stock T-5 throw out arm vs. using the sketchy 4 cylinder throw out assembly) which is much easier on the leg when out in the woods. The Dana 300 transfer case was also rebuilt at the same time and a twin stick shifter assembly was added to it. The Jeep has five 35x12.50r15 Mud King tires are Nitrogen filled and on 15x10 Alcoa forged aluminum wheels. The 4 that are "on the ground" have about 60-70% remaining and the spare has never been used. The 5" suspension lift was achieved via a moving the leaf springs to the tops of the axle housings. The rear has Slick Rock shackle hangers rather than the stock flimsy hangers with a custom ladder bar assembly to prevent spring wrap. The front end has a shackle reversal assembly and a Currie Enterprise Steering box support that lets this little Jeep run down the road really well. The rearend is a Custom built Currie Enterprise high pinion 9-inch. It is a High Pinion 9-inch with a 35 spline Detroit Locker, Currie Axles, 11" Explorer rear disc brakes w/ internal drum style parking brake, 4.56 R&P, and skid plate. The front is a Dana 44 with a Detroit Locker, upgraded Chrome Moly axles and the larger International Scout outer assemblies. The front end has a dual steering stabilizer ease the drivability of the Jeep. It has stainless steel brake lines, new power brake booster, mastercylinder, hardlines and Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve for the rear disc brake bias. During assembly I also put in a new wiring harness from Painless Wiring. So every wire in the vehicle was replaced during this project. The FMS fuel injection harness, the Vintage Air harness and Painless Wiring Harnesses all went together flawlessly. I replaced every switch, guage, junction, light, relay, and any other electrical part & motor during this rebuild. The alternator is a chrome housing 160 amp unit and it has a very good Optima battery and actually has room for a second one if more electrical accessories are ever added. I even went so far as to build a custom 1/4" thick billet aluminum dash to properly house all of the chosen guages (Speedo, Tach., Fuel Level, Fuel Pressure, Oil Pressure, Water Temp., & Voltage). It was cut on a CNC water jet at fits, and looks like it was meant to be there. It has a custom dash piece that has a "cubby hole" for storage and could be cut to accomodate speakers if wanted. It also has the aformentioned Line-X interior, but also a Tuffy brand locking weather proof center console with a seperate weatherproof compartment for the stereo and 2 cup holders. The black high back custom seats are in excellent condition as is the matching rear seat. They have no tears or wear. The 6 point roll cage fits very well and is out of the way of entering and exiting the Jeep. Finally the exterior. It was custom painted with a base of Chrome yellow and then a small amount of lime green as an accent and then some purple to just make it stand out in a crowd. It shows no major signs of wear or rust on any part of the body or frame. It has one small dent on the leading edge of the right front fender from a small tree while four wheeling, but that is the only damage (and it is minimal). It has a chrome tubular front bumper with a matching pair of nerf bars to assist in entering and exiting, but I went with a custom build rear bumper. The rear bumper was chosen so I could carry a full size 35" spare, a high lift jack, four way, and it has a receiver hitch, it even has a place to mount a CB antenna, but that wasn't something I ever got around too. The tail lights were recessed into the body to help prevent damaging them during off road excursions. And the fuel filler was moved from the very back of the Jeep to the right rear side to help keep it out of harms way as well. I know this is a lot of information, but I can assure you I have missed some things and will add them as I remember. I have a box of receipts that total over $24k and that doesn't include the labor or any of the Buddy deals that went into this Jeeps assembly. I don't need to sell it, but I also don't use it much anymore and so if someone will give it a good home, here is your chance to own a very custom Jeep. This Jeep is garage kept and as you can see from the last picture, it keeps pretty nice company (unfortunately nothing but the Jeep is mine :( ... Lol) I wouldn't be afraid to drive this thing anywhere. I have driven it 350 miles each way to the Florida beaches on several occasions with any issues. I require a non refundable $500 deposit within 48 hours of the end of the auction. I will help the buyer facilitate shipping if so desired. And of course, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for Looking... And Happy Ebaying I posted a video just to give an idea of how will it runs and how it sounds on YouTube. Here's a link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3SxDuQcs6s A few other things I have remembered... It has a custom built 4 core radiator with an aluminum shroud with dual electric fans that are controlled by an adjustable temperature control module. On Sep-25-10 at 09:41:18 PDT, seller added the following information:The Best Top Supertop soft doors are 2 piece with zip down windows. The tops of the doors can be removed to feel the breeze when cruising. It has Superwinch front locking hubs. It also has a custom built C.V. rear driveshaft with 3 Spicer U-joints to prevent any driveline issues. On Sep-28-10 at 17:01:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I shot some additional videos of it running up and down the road and one of it doing some off road stuff just to show how it does with both.
