1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible This Jag starts, runs, and drives good. The interior is in good condition for its age with only a few minor blemishes. The convertible top is in very good, and working conditon. The exterior is also in good condition except for some light scratches across the trunk and a dent in the rear fender. Both of which are clearly visible in the pictures. Recently installed (less than 100 miles ago) OEM cat back exhaust system, rear suspension rubber mounts, power steering rack seal kit, and power window switch. It passed emissions testing last year but failed this year due to high CO levels. The computer diagnosis said possible intake leak but when we got it home noticed that a spark plug cap was loose. We never took it back for testing after the cap was repaired so don't know if this was the problem or additional repairs are needed. Either way it runs good and no smoke. When the engine is hot and the idle is low (<750 rpm) the oil pressure sometimes drops low enough to turn on the dash light but is still well above causing any problems. Jag is somewhat know for having questionable pressure gauges. As soon as the engine raise above 900 rpm the oil pressure is good. We have tested this with a second set of gauges to verify the oil pressures and it's well within whats considered normal for a car of this age. I have done my best to describe this car as accurately as possible. We have spent the last few years putting in a lot of TLC so a lot of the little things typical for a car of this age have been repaired. It's really a nice car but we need to make room in the garage and it's only used 1-2 time a month for a Sunday drive. Clear title in hand.
