I purchased this new from Heuberger Subaru in Colorado Springs in late Dec 2004. It's been stored in the garage, used sparingly while I put my daily driver through the rigors of driving in bad weather, parking lot dings, etc. Consequently, this STI has seen very little rain or snow, only one parking lot ding, which I had taken out (paintless dent removal). Two of the BBS forged wheels (standard equipment) have some minor curb rash as can be seen in the photos. I don't smoke, in fact I don't even eat - or allow passengers to eat - while in the car. The seats and carpets show very little (I don't think any) wear. I bought the lifetime oil change from the dealer, which means it gets the oil changed every thousand miles or so, since annual mileage is so low. I'm a 58 year old owner, I got most of my hot rodding out of my system with the Six-pack Mopars and Boss Mustangs I owned in the past. What sold me on this car in the first place is more the great handling, forehead-smashing brakes, and wonderfull mechanical noises it makes when you start it. This is very much a driver's car. If you enjoy a car that makes fun noises and doesn't feel like you're floating in the ocean - well that's why you're here looking anyway. I've always been particular in the way I treat my toys, the difference is that I bought this new from the showroom instead of getting it after 2 or 3 owners before me used, scratched, and maybe neglected it. So all I've done is keep it looking nice. If you're specifically looking for this year of STI (maybe you like the looks or specifications, or feel better than the new ones), I think this is one of the best, if not the best, 2005 STIs you're likely to come accross. The car sells itself. I think all you need to do is see it in person to be convinced this in the one you're looking for.
